Hey guys,

Just seeing if anyone has a throttle cable for a 5SFE (not even sure if it matters) in good condition. Mine is really crispy and gets stuck once in a while. I will need it shipped to 59484 Montana or Calgary, Alberta if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Isnt the version two for a 7th gen? Or has someone tried it on a 6GC and fits fine? I honestly wouldn't mind paying $300 for it if it fit both the 7th and 6th gen. Plus when did you move to Calgary azain_advanced? We can almost have a 6GC Calgary meet now!

just got a new set maybe 2000 miles ago. Not as good as my old set of yokohama pradas but are a good balance between grip, cost and treadwear. My favorite tire in the rain though. I dont feel hesitant to drive 120km/h when its pouring.

Didnt really update my thread after my car came out of the booth. I was a little depressed because the paint was quite oranged peeled and had poor coverage. A quick wetsand/pp helped a fair amount.

Wanted a second attempt at painting a 6GC..
I would say that my Celica is basically done. I am leaning towards saving money for something with more power and reliability and just using the 6gc with the blizzaks for winter.

New Update!

Eastwood Fender roller so I dont have to worry about cracking any paint later on.

Single stage BASF finish in door jams and hatch.

Looking forward to the 040 color change! About another week till the whole car will be towed to the shop and sprayed with DuPont ChromaBase and ChromaClear 040.

Yes, I used the deep socket trick on mine too. If the disk is a little loose on the socket, wrap a couple even wraps of electrical tape on it.

I never thought I would have one of these threads!

This starts off with a good-ol 7th Gen Celica wheel. Looks like we have a problem with the cruise control wiring and controls. Each toggle on the cruise control has it's own resistance value. The 6th Gen Celica and the NewCelica use different resistance values so this means open heart surgery. I havent seen a how-to before so if there is demand, ill make one.

The 6th gen stalk PCB with larger resistors with lower resistance

The 7th gen stalk PCB with smaller resistors.

THe 6th Gen resistors were transfered over to the new stalk. The plastic around the resistors had to be cut away to make room for the larger components. Careful soldering is required.

The harness is spliced on to plug into the 6th Gen clock spring.

the pickup wheel on the crackshaft is different from what i recall. I used a 1998 camry 5sfe and the teeth on the crank sensor was different compared to my celica one. i took no chances and swapped over my celica wheel. that could be a problem because your ECU is confused at the crank position signal? someone please confirm that.

btw, its not a typical halogen projector. I am 100% happy with my cutoff just with the modded custom shield. Its wider than any halogen projector i have seen. I think its really really similar to a non AFS-RX350 projector. I already sealed mine up so i am no help to you. I have plenty of color on my setup and the width spans a 4 lane highway when i drive.

Google up a tire size calculator like the one on the miata site. Enter the stock tire size of 205/55/15 and enter tires with a taller sidewall for your 18 inch wheels. Look at how many percent oversize that particular tire is. I would stay under 5 percent but that's just me. Only negative effect I had was my speedo was 5 percent off.

These are 9006 Halogen projectors with a clear lenes. Bought these but eneded up getting a good deal on JDM projectors. They have a pretty good cutoff pattern and can be improved with some quick modding but I am happy with them as they are untouched.
Looking for $40 plus exact shipping

Thanks for looking!

looks like there are 3 metal clips in each corner holding it in? as for glue, maybe tiny bits of silicone to keep water out?
