Today I installed a sub for the first time in my life. Came out pretty clean and sounds great. Not the bug your neighbor and shake the block bump, rather sounds like a really nice factory option (thanks in huge part to doctavic previously upgrading the stock speakers and adding tweeters.)

I also picked up my tundra courtesy lenses from the dealer, installed them, changed the interior lighting white, and swapped side marker bulbs for white smd LEDs. The side markers are going back tomorrow. Poor miata at the stop light frown.gif

Fresh polish and wax today. The drive home from NJ had the car covered in little dead stowaways.

This thread reminds me of the pic with the porn star in the kitchen with cupcakes behind her and the caption "oh look! Cupcakes!!!"

You guys are awesome.

The drive home was cake and she was great the whole 9 hours. Waited 6 hours to stop for gas and she was still well over a quarter tank. Was going to wash polish and wax her today but of course my first day back in Ohio and its storming frown.gif you've already done everything i'd have done to her so I have nothing to start a project thread on... Yet.

One of my ae86 buddies is trying to convince me to go 3sgte but I'm thinking either 4age or 4agze. While I save up and source parts I'm gonna continue to just run the perfect little engine that could till she pops... If I get the money in time maybe I'll boost the 7a for a while.

QUOTE (95CelicaST @ Jun 3, 2013 - 5:41 AM) *
Last time I saw the Yelli Celi it needed more work to bring it back than it was worth.

If you guys are all talking about the beautifully done tucked yelli celi with the 4age in it this makes me super sad. I remember when he first listed it after the tuck thinking how good of a price he was asking for what it was and trying to get the money together but being too late. Poor thing.

I haven't been on 6gc in a long time. I think his name was coomer. He was the site owner right?

Don't worry man. She'll be in good hands and pampered. I can tell how much love you've poured in to her since you got her. I can't wait to meet her (and you) on Wednesday smile.gif

Now to find some 6gc crew to meet up with when I stop in Pittsburgh on the way back to Ohio. So stoked to be coming back to the 6th gen scene with such a beautiful car smile.gif

Anybody selling their 6th gen please shoot me a message (preferably with a link to your car's page if it isn't on the site). I've not stopped missing my poor little st since the day I sold her. Looking for a manual in sound mechanical condition. Thanks <3

your pm box is full so I'll just reply here.

How about 20 shipped for the fuel cover door from the screws attaching it to the body out?

As far as the fender goes, I'm not sure what the weight and all that is going to be, so I'm really not sure what to offer you. I know I can get a set of z3 fenders relatively cheap, but I'm trying to not spend more than 100 bucks right now on getting the body fixed up.

I was hoping you would know what you want for them? How much to ship to 43221?

thanks for all the help guys.

I just swapped out the front rims for my winter rim/tire package and I used the standard toyota jack to do it, so I may have done something wrong. Also I get some road shake anything over 65 MPH now.

I had another guy tell me that it may be my thrust bearing (wtf is that?)
Said something about attempting to yank on the crank pulley to see if it moves and if it does then I'm going to need a rebuild.

!@#$*)&%$@)*&^

He was playing the phone mechanic though, so I'm almost just hoping it's the throwout bearing now. How hard is it to change the clutch?

i have the OEM exedy, and have no prb, for the first 700 miles, its kind of rough, like any new clutch, but then it kind of gets better....

Cool, thanks for the info. That seems to be what I'm looking more into.

my first thought: throw out bearing

that's what my dad said he thinks it is. Kinda hard to diagnose from a few states away though, so he's getting me in contact with one of his buddies who lives up here to try to diagnose it soon.

Couple questions about that kwanza. I've always seen you post some spot on and intelligent things on here.
First, is a release bearing and a throwout bearing the same thing?
Also, has anybody tried out the Exedy OEM replacement clutch and how is it?
Last, anybody have a lightweight flywheel for sale for a 7afe?

I noticed last night that there's a steady knocking sound coming from under the front axle, but it doesnt do it when I'm speeding up or braking. Only time it makes the sound is when the clutch is in or it's in neutral. It doesnt seem to be driving any different, but I'm worried that it's one of those problems where things either slowly deteriorate or start making a noise then go suddenly.

Please help!

are you sure that its only when you in Neutral? or is that just when you can hear it? when your driving there is a lot of road noice to get through, you might just not be able to hear it when your driving, but it would seem to me that if it was a moving part of the car like an Axle or a tie rod, the faster you go the louder it would get. or you would hear something. Check and make sure that there isnt something loose first, but my guess is if its anything big youll see it when you look. Start it up and follow the noice

I can generally hear most of the noises my car makes when moving, and the only time I hear it (you can almost feel it as well in the clutch pedal) is when the clutch is in. At first I was hearing it when cruising up to a stop sign too when in neutral but now it seems to only be when the clutch is in, and sometimes if I clutch soft it doesnt happen.

126k

I havent gotten a chance to go take a look at it yet today. I'm hoping to not walk out there and see my wheel seperating from the rest of the car...
