So I'm driving home from school today, its about a 3 hour drive that turned into a nightmare 5 hour drive. Half way home, what I believe to be my transmission starts acting up. First off, I have a 95 st auto. I would be cruising around 65mph, and I would go to accelerate and the RPM would just shoot up but I wouldn't be going any faster. A little bit later, I would be try to accelerate and the RPM would shoot up, drop, and shoot up again all without going any faster. Within an hour, I have very little power when accelerating and my car is having trouble going over 50mph. Then with about 30 miles to go, my car barely gets over 40 mph and the RPM jumps all over the place when accelerating. My car is fine until the ride home.. I drove it all yesterday and even earlier today before the ride home without any problems. (Yesterday and today being relative.. Its 4am right now). I know I needed to get the oil changed, but I think this has something to do with the trans. Any suggestions/advice/opinions/thoughts/etc.??? NOTE: -Pulled off at a gas station and all the fluids were at the correct levels -Let it sit while running and there were no leaks |

Thanks for the help. My old antenna unit was trash.. nuts and everything were stripped. I got lucky and found a real cheap $10 antenna that fit nicely in the hole. Its similar to the s2k antenna but less pricely. It was some universal antenna from the local auto store. I could get pics if anyone is interested but its just a small little black rubber antenna. |

So I just bought my Celica back in mid-January and the antenna was broken. I finally get time to check it out this week. The nut was so stripped my mechanic decided just to chop it off. From what I saw while I was playing around with it, it wasnt the stock power antenna. Anyways, I need a new one... all I have right now is a hole in my rear panel. The Toyota dealership quoted me some ridiculous amount for the whole assembly. Anyone know what would be a good replace antenna? |
