Lucky me, I got a steal on a sweet Celi a while back and loved her. I fixed her up, smoothed out all the damage, replaced windows, new engine (nothing special, stock) and I finally got it running. I drove it out and about after I got all the primer sprayed so she was all ONE color and smooth and I had to celebrate with my sister. Naturally I got wasted and slept in a hammock and anyways I woke up and someone had hit my car in the back, busted out the windows, tore out anything of any value and slashed my tires. All my hard work.... gone... frown.gif

Anyways I want another one. Year doesn't matter much. Miles don't matter much. Don't care about the color. HELL, the more beat up it is, the more I want it. I'll most likely be ripping out EVERYTHING and starting over. I've had an eye out near me, no luck. I'm in Milwaukee WI, my zip is 53220. Even a SHELL would be great. Let me know =)

If you seriously plan on making a track car, then your decision between the two is just this simple: Do you want FWD, or RWD?

That's a good point BUT there's more to it as well. I've already STARTED the Celi, and making her a beast is important but she's also a body work project. I'd LOVE to have a RWD car, I've never had one and want one but I'm not sure what's all wrong with this 240 (and the bf won't let me see it-which makes me a little leery). I'm seriously trying to convince him to let me have them both.

I just saw pics of your SC2, Pink Leopard print!!? The car was nice though. Nice tat as well!

Thanks, see why I get distracted when I run in the house for a minute? lol. Hells yeah pink leopard. The more pink I made it, the less boys wanted to drive it biggrin.gif

Dahmmit, I'm sorry I had to do it *blushes*

IPB Image

This is my 4 month old.

I'd put a picture of the Celi but the only one I have her her is me sitting next to her in tears because the door panel I shot has some NASTY orange peel to it. Sorry, I'm not posting pix of me in tears after I spent 9 and a half hours sanding, wet sanding and then painting. Only to be SUPER sad cuz it looked like ASS.

When I had the SC2: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/800623

Now its Dave's: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2491055 it sucked hard at the track but that was the new engine and something was going nuts with the suspension

Ah well. My true love will always be the third gen SC2, but this Celi throws down FAR better than any Satty. And she's beat to hell.

Wow, that was a lot!

What's going to be better for you in the long run? You've got a baby, so do you have a family car?

YUP '03 Satty Vue is my MOM car. It rocks my Hayden's car seat AND my nanny's 2 year old's car seat. I mean that's cool and stuff I've got a reliable daily but once in a while I like beating up my BF's 02 SC2 (tuned, header, intake, polished, ported and sitting on 18's w/ super sticky tires). I bought the Celi to have a car to feel like... like.. ME again in.

I <3 the Celi cuz she's pretty, I poured a ton of work into her and she's already been stripped of all her apint and rust.

I <# the 240 cuz she's a 240.

*POUTS* I still don't know what to do

SIIIIIIGH
I'm having a small crisis. Ok it's not a CRISIS. Its more like a dilemma. So I bought a 95 Celi GT because it was 400 bucks and she MIGHT be a beast if I built her up and she's an IMPORT which means that there is after market support for her and that's awesome. ( I had an undying love for Saturns but now that’s over). So what if she had multicolored panels, smashed out back hatch, cracked windshield and NO interior. As soon as I saw her and her round headlights all I could see was her shot in hot pink, dropped on black 19's with a FATTY chrome intercooler. I began to drool and told my buddy "I want her". He bargained tried to bargain with me but he’s a cute emo boy and has no sense in his head so I got her cheap. Me and my BF towed her home the next weekend. First thing I did was the head gasket (with my 15 year old sister, she had nothing better to do and was trying to scam 20 bucks outta me so I made her work for it). Then this Celi RAN. she sounded pretty rough and when I was driving her the WHOLE EXHAUST SYSTEM fell off. I naturally made my lil sister go pick it up (SHUT UP, she had welding gloves on, 'Dense was fine). We bring this beast home (with NO EXHAUST so she's SCREAMING the whole way home). Fine fine, the next week I take her into the exhaust shop and they fab some pipes for me so after consulting my Satty squad about boost and exhaust size I decide 2 and 1/4 is good enough for a boosted Celi. She's not boosted YET but she WILL be. So finally she's running and this is good right? NOPE. She's missing the back hatch window. Keep in mind I'm rocking FMLA leave and when I'm working on this car my baby boy is asleep with my grandma fawning over him. I'm also sporting stitches from my C-Section too. Anyways, that Sunday me and my BF went to the junkyard as our "Uber hot romantic date Day". I found a hatch window and told the junkyard guy I wanted it. He told me if I could get it out myself I could have it. I tore that Celi up with a CROW BAR and got the hatch out with only a few dings. He of course tried to bitch about it, I snarled and growled back and I got my hatch window for 110 bucks (its 300 retail). I get home, shower and snuggle bug my baby boy and when he goes to sleep for the night I head out and fix my smashed hatch with the new window. AWESOME. Then my Hayden (he’s my son) got this lil personality and I sorta forgot about the Celi (and I went back to work too, like 12 or 14 hours a day). Anyways, my BF sells cars and they took in a 240 SX. What's that? MY DREAM PROJECT CAR. So my problem? Do I sell off the Celi for 1600 like someone offered and buy the 240 for 210 bucks OR keep the Celi? I’d love her and build her up…. Fix the body damage… BUT!! The 240's gonna throw down at the track FAR better than the Celi and that's sorta what I want BUT the Celi sorta crept into my heart and I love her =( I can't have them both, my BF voted NO to that already so what do I do???? Keep in mind, tuning cars is a hobby of mine and all I’ve ever wanted was a nice boosted car that screams and throws the **** down. So what should I do? My heart says KEEP THE CELI! but my soul shouts GET THE 240!!! Help me!

Awsome, thanks guys! As far as the new motor, I of course want to do a boosted engine BUT I've got a whooooole lot of research to do. And that's a mighty project in itself, I'm wanting to make her clean and sharp looking.... then I'll worry about making her a beast >=D

As far as my collection of Sattys go, I'm on SC2 number 2 and opted for a Vue as my daily driver. I need 4 doors and a whole lotta room for all my stuff. And I got sick of blowing up dif pins and tranny's and melting my back bumper rolleyes.gif

Oh man, I'm so excited for this Celica biggrin.gif

Aloha, I'm Pikachu and I'm so very happy I just bought a 94 Celica from a friend. She's got some substancial body damage, a blown motor and smashed back hatch BUT she was 400 bucks and I HAD to have her. I just got rid of my SC2 after 4 long years of finally discovering how much I hated it, I can't even begin to explain my happiness to have this Celica. She's my first project car, I've learned quite a bit about body work on the Satty and since I've actually got a daily runner so I can take my sweet time with my new Celica. Anyways.

Her door on the passanger side has a FATTY gouge in it. I'm debating if i want to pull it out and bondo it or if I'd save myself the trouble and just get a new door. Next the front bumper is... well... crooked. I've been eyeing up maybe a body kit for it (so I can shave out all the lines and make it real smooth) but I was so impressed with the headlight conversion I did on my SC2, I might want to do different headlights. Opinions? Keeping in mind I'll have quite a bit of free time soon, and I want her to be sharp looking, not gaudy and obnoxious. Lastly is the interior. Since its all shredded I'm tearing it all out and re-doing the seats with leather and fiberglassing everything else. This'll be a mighty project for me, but I'm so excited to have a car that there is actually aftermarket support for. Horah for me =)
