hey, there is a weird sound comming from the gf's 94 canadian gts, it is a revolutional sound, and its comming from the left rear wheel. If I grab onto the wheel and spin it back and fourth occasionally it will seem to lock up and stop but it seems like only when i spin it back forward. Now it seems to be making a thumping sound which gets faster as you drive faster. Is it possible the ebrake is sticking randomly? or does it sound more like a wheel bearing? it only does it from the drivers rear. |

So you should have two that are inserts for the front. yea he pmed me and said thanks i was indeed right. I only knew so fast cause I tried to the exact same thing, I felt some stupid after I figured it out though lol. Probley why he never publicly posted it. ebay ftmfw!!! |

QUOTE(95CelicaST @ May 21, 2007 - 9:40 PM) From the research I have done before I shelled out the money for GR-2's and ground controls I heard that when you turn the wheel you will get popping and pinging - and also because I was worried about this same thing, I asked my mechanic, who has coilovers on his AE86, and he said that the noise when turning and such is normal. so you have ground control coil overs now or springs now? do you have this issue as well? |

QUOTE(RisingSun1 @ May 16, 2007 - 4:53 AM) dude, don't buy them from ebay, I bought a set of kyb GR-2s for my 97 celica convertible, and they didn't match, I got ripped off; also they looked kind of fake, they didn't look like genuine kyb's. I bought some from ebay and it worked out fine, post the link to the auction you bought from. |

hey, this is actually for my gfs car. She has a 94 canadian gts, we recently lowered it on kyb gr2s, and ebay coil overs, yea I know, didn't wana shell out big bucks at the time and wanted the adjustablity of coil overs, if it could be done again I would just bought a nice set of d2s or something. Anyways the issue with the car is it is making weird sounds that I don't know where they are comming from...I work on nissans all day and they are set up different. Sounds like a dinging sound comming from the suspension. Mostly when your driving slow and you cut the wheel sharply. I'm guessing this is a fairly common issue, is there anyway to fix it? I've tried raising the car on the coil over, and making sure everything is tight on several occasions, but if anything its gotten worse. Also is it bad for anything? thanks guys. |

ok i would put down 50 bucks that I have the answer to your problem. Take the kybs that your trying to put on the front, and put them on the back because they are the back struts. The holes on the back are further apart. Next I'm guessing you have two skinny little boxes that just look like a shock alone. Thats because there strut inserts, or cartridges. Take out your front struts and there is a little nut that holds the insert on, you can remove it using a set of channel locks. New nuts should have also come with the strut. Remove old strut cartridge and install the new one then install the new nut, if you didnt get new nuts just use the old one. I attempted to do the same thing as you are doing the first time I did it so I know exactly what is going on. I also looked up the part numbers because I thought I had the wrong stuff. |

I also Upgraded the main chassis ground, the old one looked pretty tiny and a little rusty so hopefully that helps some. well i triple checked the connections remounted the ballasts to what i thought was a better spot, upgraded the main ground, and sercured everything good this time and yea no more pulsation. |

Is this normal? is there a way to fix it? thanks very much for any help. nop that's not normal, could be one of two things 1- you have low current 2- that ballast is ready to go ok im gona double check all my grounds, upgrade where nessicary and perhaps upgrade batteries. |
