Well i went with the second dog. we went to the local pound and got a puppy. shes a 2 month old german shepard puppy. My dog loved her from the minute i brought her home. it couldnt have worked out better, theyre almost inseperable now. and hes showing her the rules of the house. ive been leaving them both out for about a week now and theyve been great. The best thing is, due to the older dog, the pup was potty trained in about 2 days. so im pretty glad i decided to go with the second dog

QUOTE (GriffGirl @ Jun 19, 2009 - 3:36 PM) *
Have you thought about doggie day care? It sounds like he's bored and has anxiety. Getting him a friend may help, or it may just double your problem because you'll be banking that he'll learn the good behavior from the doggie friend, when in fact it typically seems to work the other way around and the good dog turns into a little 4 legged demon. laugh.gif

A doggie day care thing will keep your dog happy and occupied, and will also help him to learn better habits because he'll be out numbered by dogs who behave tongue.gif

Crate training shouldn't be used for punishment, by the way. NEVER. The crate is a personal space for the dog to feel safe... it's his/her little domain. Crate training is absolutely humane and good to do, although I agree that 10 hours a day in a crate is totally unfair and no kind of life for a dog. It's better than letting him be loose and destructive, where he can hurt himself seriously (and he WILL eventually), but you've GOT to find a better alternative that works well for your family AND your pup.

I think it sux for him to be stuck in that dam cage all day. when i put him in there he looks at me with the most horrible face. im a full grown man, and it makes me wanna cry like a baby laugh.gif it sux. but i cant have him tearin stuff up. GOT to find a better alternative u say.... 6GC to the rescue says I! laugh.gif biggrin.gif

I have tried the toy full of food thing. It keeps him busy for a while but i think hes seriously ADD. hell be doin somethin like that and then jump up at 110mph and be doin somethin else. then come back and see it and itll be like "OH ****!!!" like its the first time hes seen it. hahaha. When i was first introduced to crate training it was explained to me as a disiplinary measure by my trainer. i tried to argue the point and she just said i was wrong. so now my dog hates the crate. hes not scared to go to it, but he thinks it means hes in trouble, so he tries to avoid it. she also told me to never put food or water in it...i didnt listen to that one, he always has both in the crate. i think with another dog it will be better for him. im just worried about the 2X effect of having 2 dogs. would it be easier to get a puppy and train it from day one or get another fullgrown dog?

we did try the big rawhide toys, he can blast through the big ones, that r like 2 feet long, in about 2-3 hours...

i hate the whole idea of crate traning. especially because i work 10 hours a day. i walk him every night when i get home for about 45 to an hour. and we try and take him with us when we vo out on the weekends so he can get out a little more. i tried leaving him in my yard during the day but its the same thing, he gets bored so he digs. i think im gonna go to the pound tomorrow and see if u can find him a friend.

Hes crate trained right now, thats where we put him when he screws up. i dont like the idea of the crate though. now we did think of getting him a friend. im just a little worried about what kinda dog he would get along with. my buddy has a 2yr boxer and a 3yrbassethound/corgie mix and my dog plays with them really well.

Ok so heres the deal. i have a dog, hes a pitbull/chow-chow mix. when im home or when anyone is around hes an amazingly good dog. its when i leave...terror! he is about the most destructive dog i have ever seen. he tears up anything left on the table, knocks the chairs and stools over, even tears up the carpet! im at my wits end with him, hes 2 years old and i thought he would be through this by now. anyone know what i can do?

got the alignment done - and steering wheel centered --

one bad thing about the cusco mounts - is that it doesn't have a bearing device - because without that its compressing the parts or springs part causing a little grinding noise -- when the time allows i will have to contact a bearing manufacturing company to produce something for this problem --

the noise wasn't as bad as the dropzone coilovers i had back then -- cornering feels a bit better --

thats whats got me worried. if theres no bearing, i would think its going to clunk a bit. please excuse the questions, i have absolutely NO experience in this situation and the clunking in my suspension is driving me crazy!!!!!

yeah i was gonna stay with the yokos but they were so expensive. i had the es100s, and they were like 300 a piece. really loved those tires though. thats probably one of the only tire brands ive never heard anything bad about.

Lil_Joe, I like your spoiler! I haven't actually looked at pictures of your car, but from what I can see in your signature I like it. Personally, I'm trying to get my hands on a GT4 spoiler. I love how it flows with the factory lines, since after all it's a factory spoiler. So I wouldn't say that everyone here hates wings at all, just that a lot of people hate goofy ricer wings like this.

now i did see a wing almost like this one on an old body style prelude, the old square body, i have to say that it was the only one that ive seen that i liked. possibly because that body really didnt have "lines", but it looked nice.

our cars, being as old as they are, were built with a lot stronger steel then cars are now. the steel used today is almost paper thin, and with that damage it would be a replacement. but since the metal is a bit thicker, its actually easier to work with and get that out. if theres a good body guy in your town im sure he could do it. as long as the metals not torn or seperated anywhere you should be fine. the shop will probably try to tell you it needs replaced but tell them thats not what you want and you want the body guys opinion on it and see if he can repair it. repair will definately keep your costs down over a replacement.

i think a lot of the problems with wings is that they dont really flow with the nayural body style and design of the car. especially with our cars bein so curvy and having such distinct lines its hard to find a nice wing that flows with the body. kinda part of why a lot of people dont like the veilside body kit.

thats what you see on new cars, its basically a rock chip protector. it would go on the lower edge of the door like clearbra.
