Car looks good, man .... a lil tlc and you'll have a keeper, for sure (I have a '92 vert and LOVE it - east Tennessee backroads and mountains make for some fun drives). I'd fix and keep, if I were you. I can't comment on the specific number of LE's made, but here's the numbers ASC provided me of Celi's they converted over the years :

Ummmm .... let most of the air out of the rear tires ??? and use the parking brake ??? j/k fwd and drifting are basically mutually exclusive (in terms of proper "drifting" as opposed to just bringing the rear around) .... think about it...

Yeah, really ...... was whatever bright red paint they offered that year, PLUS (and this was "odd" I think) my old ST had a black vinyl top on it (very uncommon, I'd have to say, for Japanese autos...LOL). I would've liked to have kept it, but I had thrown a rod or something - side of block had a crack in it and it leaked and burned oil like crazy after that (still ran pretty good for, apparently, 3 cylinders )

Nice link.... I remember having "the Dragon" on my first Celica (actually, was my first car as well - a '75 ST, inherited from my father when I graduated from college in '79) ... I sort of remember reading somewhere that it's supposed to be a "dragon boat" , as the president of Toyota (or some higher up.... Kiichi Toyoda) was supposedly a fan of dragon boat racing - something they do in Japan, I suppose ? Who knows, but... I like the old dragon emblems, for sure. and I loved my old school Celi - wish I'd kept it, looking back...<sigh> oh, well. Loving my 5th gen vert, anyways

Hey, yall .... am not a 6 g owner (have a 5th gen vert), but I do have those numbers....I was wondering as well when I bought my car last year, and ASC was kind enough to provide me the production numbers (although I'm not sure if that was for world-wide distribution or usdm only....dunno)
So, for all interested, here's all production figures for convertible conversions done to Celicas by ASC.
