well ummm ok thanks everyone for being so helpfull...

I'm not stupid and I'm very careful with the car. The only times I've ever had the car up to that speed were late at night on dry empty straight stretches of freeway that I'm very familiar with!

I don't need a new tranny I was just curious as to the availability of the 6 speed and if one happened to be close and cheep then I'd buy it

ok so I'm sure you've all seen coomer's 20 valves ST on the home page. Well I bought it and I'm looking for some parts....


the owner of the shop it was livin in for a while put on new throttle linkage but the thing is that it's of a black top and it's not paid for... he put it on because the stock linkage had a gnarley kink in it. So I asked him what it would cost and he told me that it's not for sale but he would loan it to me till I could come up with another one... so that is the first item I'm Lookin for.

the next thing I'm lookin for is a transmition. this is almost more of an inquirey than a WTB but I was woundering if there is a 6 speed tranny for my Silver top 4A?... and if so where could i get one? I herd from my budy who has a turbo 4AGE in is AE86 that I could probably find one on ebay but I haven't had the greatest luck there.

if anybody can help me I'd really appreciate it!

when I saw that it was for sale I assumed that it was either out of my price range or a million miles away. I will be getting about 6,000 for my car and I live in NORTH BEND WA!!!!! less than an hour from Enumclaw

My celi was reciently totaled in an accedent (that was not my fault) and now I'm in an epic battle with the jerks at the ensurance company. what they are telling me is that because there aren't many on the market like mine, that I'm at the murcy of the there not so trusty data base of cars for sale. I spent 6000 on my celi and had another few thousand into it. They think it's only worth 5200. what I need from you guys is a few adds of celicas listed for sale by dealers for no less than $5200. obvioulsy the higher the price you can find the better.

I'm probably going to buy another celica and thought that who better to ask for help then people that share my passion for these great cars.

where can I get a SET of motor mounts for my 7AFE?


I'VE LOOKED EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!

so has anybody else gone through motor mounts?... mine are apparently bad and wanted to know if that is common?...


and also how hard would they be to change?...
I've never pulled a motor but i have a buddy that's pulled a quite a few and he will help me?
and if we had one full day could we do it?...


oh yeah one more thing... while it's out, is there anything small that I can do that will help with power?

how much harder is the 20V swap?


I imagine it would make wiring a bitch but I dont' really know.

I want to put a 4age in my celi. my buddy has one but it's out of an RWD AE86. what do I have to do to make it fit, or will it even work?

I herd that the only thing that I'd have to change is the intake manifold but what about motor mounts?

so I have a sixth gen and I reciently found a ****ED UP WRECKED PEACE OF **** fifth gen. it has the 4afe and i have the 7afe. I'm guessing that I can use the transmition... right?.....

and is there anything else you guys can think of that I would be able to use


are the rear struts the same?...
mine are all ****ed up


if there is anything that I can't use that anybody wants lemme know and maybe we can work somethin out



(my buddy described it as and old beat up peace of **** celica so i expected to roll up on a beat to **** 3rd gen or somethin.

when I saw that it was a 5th gen I about **** my pants)

My 7afe is burning oil pretty bad so I was thinking about rebuilding it or just buying a new one and putting a turbo on it. with limited know how, what do you guys think would be my best option? I just found out that the 4age will bolt right in so I thought if I could get the 4age why not go with the 4agze.

my guess is that it's would be easire to turbo the 7A. Mine has 175k on it so if I think it would be too much work to make that one hold up under the boost of a turbo but what do I know....



what do YOU think?......
