on the top seal of your windshield, on each corner there are two small drain holes for the front.
if you could get some compressed air in there you might be able to remove what ever is clogging it up.

yes it is. takes about a little less than 3 quarts (75w-90). If you take a look at my cv axle diy you can see the where the fill plug is.

Same thing happen to me, unfortunately i wasn't so lucky. My transmission gave out.

Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me out with something. I need to know the compressed length of a GT driver side cv axle.

I think i was sent an ST instead of a GT. The reason why i think so is because the inner boot is completely stretch when the wheel is straight.
I read online an ST cv axle is 24 5/8" mine is about 1/8" longer but its kind of hard to measure and compress it at the same time.

Thanks!

I can't measure mine because my cv axle popped out from its own socket and is now super long, hence why its being replace.

Thanks Richee!

can you confirm it takes 75w90 gear oil? That is what I am planning on using but want to confirm that is correct.

yes it does, its takes about 2.7 quarts.

The thing is you really don't have to measure, just fill from the fill plug until the fluid starts to leak out. This is how you know its full.

Its should be mounted roughly underneath the top left corner of your battery tray on the transmission.

Part number is 84210-12040
the gasket for it is 90430-18008

its 27.56 at 1sttoyotaparts! Just bought one recently.

there should be a total of 3 bolts. hmmm... thats strange, they should line up perfectly to the block unless someone has changed that mount before you and put in the wrong one?

Same issue happened to me after I changed my waterpump. I thought it was a faulty thermostat at first but it turns out that it had an air bubble. The trick is to bleed the car while having the front jacked up as high as you can. This causes the air in your coolant system to rush to the top much faster than being on a flat surface. I hope that helps!

Great thank you! I found a guide on checking the thermostat by boiling it. But i agree, probably easier to just go buy a new one from napa in the morning.
Well I will hope this fixes it. Ill give an update in a couple days to close this discussion. And once again thanx all. I look forward to enjoying your community from now on. biggrin.gif

remember to buy a new thermostat gasket as well!

If your engine overheated from staying still it definitely sounds like your thermostat is stuck closed. The thermostat should have been replaced with the radiator replacement. Also your rad fan might not be working, check all the electrical plugs to see if they are properly connected.

I recently hit a curb and bent my lower control arm. Just wondering if anyone has a spare kicking around? Celica are pretty rare here so i can't find a used one here. I don't really have too much to spend, on a tight budget after this accident.

Got a price off ebay for one shipped with bad bushings for 80 US. But i rather pay a member here than some junker trying to pull a fast one.
So yeah pm what you got, not really in a rush because my car was a summer car laugh.gif

Thanks!

I own a 95 ST204. So no SSS for me lol

Yes they should the same for both sides. The years should work throughout too! This is for the S54 Transmission though...

your window might have slipped past the stoppers. Undo the 2 screws for the cover, than take a flash light and look at the end of the regulator tracks. There should be a small L shaped bracket (stopper) If your window looks like it just pop past it while going down, you can just undo the stopper, put up the window, guide the window back into the tracks and reinstall the stopper.

Hope that helps!

I need a back up switch for my celica, its a 95 5SFE if that matters. A new switch cost 36 from 1sttoyotaparts so I'm willing to pay around 10 for a used one. Thank you.

Yes most of them are 4mm. There are some that are bigger. Those are technically called vacuum hoses but somewhat not. For example the ICV hose is 6mm on one end and 4mm on the other if I remember correctly.

I just ordered pink 4mm silicon vacuum hoses for my car with 2mm thickness. I hope these are good.

the coolant temp sensor, 2 pins, is just a resistor that varies it resistance with the temperature of the engine.

there is no right or wrong way to wire it. just make sure to use solder and seal up the wires well (small heat shrink on both wires, and larger over both is what id do)

oh wow, i didn't know that it. Thank you so much.

I don't know how it happen but after cleaning up my engine bay i noticed that my coolant temperature sensor is broken and the plug for it is completely missing just the ripped wires remaining. kindasad.gif

Could someone take a picture of the sensor so i can see how to wire the new plug!

Thanks in advance!

I did use the search function, but for some reason it doesn't work on my computer.... it just lags out 6gc. If i try to search something nothing loads on 6gc unless a close my browser. double weird.

I just took mine all 4 to a suspension shop where they either made a mould (or already had a mould) of the stock mounts, then burnt out the rubber and filled the mounts with polyurethane liquid which took 3 days to set, i ended up with 4 polyurethane bushed oem mounts, the reason they have the mould is so they can put the stock flex gaps

i was told to do all 4 because the extra vibrations would wear out the rubber ones quicker

yes these are the very same kind. A big pain in the * to put them in. How were they able to make a stiffer hydraulic one and the driver side one?
