Is this it? What modding is required?

I ask cause my birthday is coming up as well, lol. But I might just get the JDM tail lights. I'm not sure how they'll look on silver.

Where did you get the aluminum trunk mat? That's awesome! I'm also interested in strut bar, was it expensive/hard to install?

hmm.. Yeah the battery will give you lights to that, but it doesn't have enough juice to start the car. Just make a quick trip to an auto parts place and have them check it for you. Don't tell me you don't know how to take the battery and alternator out.

I've taken the battery out before, I'm sure the alternator isn't that hard though.

I'm still getting power to everything else. All the lights and everything are still working fine. I'm just not getting any noise from whenever I turn the key now.

If you're gtting the clicking machine gun sound, your starters good. You need a new alternater. Go get it checked out first though.

Ya, I was getting the clicking sound, but now I don't get any sound, lol.

I haven't driven my Celica in about 5 days and it's been pretty cold, well as cold as it gets in Texas. I come to drive it today and all the lights and everything are working fine when I put the key in. When I turn it, I hear a constant clicking sound. Usually one click means the battery or starter is out. I tried 3 more times then left for an hour. When I came back I did it 3 more times. Came back about 5 minutes later and when I turn the key NOTHING happens, no clicks. As I said before, ALL the interior lights and everything is working fine.

I replaced the starter 3 years ago and had new spark plugs a couple of months ago. The battery seems to be working well too. Is this a starter issue or could it be something different? I'd hate to have to get it towed just to figure out whats up with it.

Thanks!

I got mine at Autozone. They had two different brands of both hoses.

I agree w/ Lew about his method. I tried it at first, and it is better...but you don't really get a sound difference ,so then I did what chinaman did and modded the 93 CAI to make a custom SRI. I love the sound and it does have good throttle resopnse as well. (but I took the stock reservoir out) I didn't want to mess with CAI and worry about possible hydrolock...and its more expensive buying a bypass valve to prevent that.

I bought the 7th gen assembly tube and it wouldnt even fit through the hole on the 6th gen manual ornament....the threading from the s2k antenna wasn't near long enough to even reach it : /

So I just had to use my old 6th gen assembly tube and super glue it all. Everything works and sounds good though.

You sold this beauty for a celica?

I had to! I was going off to college and I needed a car with better gas mileage and was more dependable. I sold it to a family friend and he said he'd sell it back to me one day, possibly....

I was able to get my Celica from the money and an extra 5k....so it worked out. I do miss the sound of a V8 w/flowmasters though.....

Hey guys, my roof on my celica is awful looking! I got some of the oxidation off, but now it looks like it's coming back worse. I can't afford a paint job for a couple of years so should I just sand it/prime and spray paint? It's stock silver so I can probably just use the rustoleum silver metal spray paint that I have.

Are there any how-to's on sanding a car and painting tips? I don't have a clue about how to do it. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

My base is really messed up (the metal/chrome piece that is actually touching the exterior) I need a new one and wondered if anyone had one that would work for the s2000 mod. I think pretty much anyone one would.

I heard Toyota dealerships charge $70 bucks! I also need the 7th gen part that s2000 antenna screws into if anyone has an extra or knows where to get one for a good price. Thanks!

I just noticed it recently, but whoever had my car before mine spilled stuff all over the speaker grills in the front. It won't really come off so I was thinking about what would be the best way to paint them or how I could clean them....

I've heard that they don't come off the door panel. Is that right?

I just got a new head unit installed and previously had 2 really good Focal 6 1/2 in the rear and 2 Focal 5 1/4 on the bottom in the front. I have an 8 speaker setup.

The guy at car toys told me it would sound better to just not run the 4in. speakers in the mid door panel b/c they are stock, so he didn't wire them up to the head unit.

My question now is...when the guy installed my new head unit today he hooked the 4's back up...which I didn't want. Now I get way too many highs and mids than I wanted.

How do I go about unhooking the 4's? Do I take the door panels off and just simply unhook them and tape em up?
