Thanks man I'll check all what you said...I didn't mean though taking my foot off the accelerator suddenly...but I'm sure you get the point....thank you all for your imput and sorry to hear you guys have the same problem but in a way its a comfort that I know I'm not the only one....was beginning to worry about my baby! haha....thanks again guys! I happens when I'm moving in traffic....you know like at traffic lights and I'm prob only moving 10yards at a time...its never done it in any other cars I drive and the rpm isn't too low or anything. Think what my cousin says might be true? Its just the way they are setup? I have drove a 2004 VW Golf R32, 3.2 V6 petrol, manual gearbox...it was a Mk4 one. It done the same actually I remember! But the new R32 I drove in work also didn't do it so I asked one of the mechanics he said that they had "fixed" it in the new version....said it was just the way its setup too...I dont know! Love to know exactly what it is though

Yeah, glad someone else has it so I'm not alone, I was talking to my cousin, he has a gen5 celica and his is the same....he said it might just be the way they are geared? I don't know, just wondering but thanks man! Hopefully its nothing wrong....if I learn anymore I'll keep you posted!

I'm fairly new to this car stuff... I've had my celica for about 7 months now....I love it...but I've always wanted to ask about a few things and I hope you guys can help as I'm sure theres a few experts around

When I'm driving, I take off in first gear but when I lift my foot back off the accelerator my car seems to drop power very very quickly, like a shuddering of jerking effect for a few seconds until it settles... This will happen if say for example I'm driving through my street, I'm going at a normal speed, and I simple lift my foot from the accelerator it jerks....its quite annoying sometimes when I'm driving through town or something. I know I probably haven't described this very good (please excuse me I'm half sleeping - late night last night haha) but I've always wanted to ask someone if they have the same problem...is it normal or am I doing something wrong, and no sarky comments please about my driving haha....I've drove probably over 100 different kinds of cars in my job and my car seems to be the only that does it... haha

Hey to all! I jus bought my first Celica last week, its a White GT (2.0 Litre Engine... 174bhp) its a beast .. I'm really pleased, haven't stopped driving it (going out again in a few mins) anyway I've been reading up on parts for better performance and I've got a few questions...

1. What are the benefits/what does it do... TRD : Low Temperature Sports Thermostat?

2. I'm going to get some sort of air filter... I was thinking HKS... but whats better, an open air (cone shape) or and drop in filter (same shape as the stock to fit in the air box)?

3. Has anyone got any advice ideas or things I should know about or just cool tips?

I'll be adding pics soon!!

What about the washers for the headlights? lil things that squirt water onto your lights at the front of the car? What you guys think of them? or are they just on UK GT's?
