Hello all, Long-time member, mostly lurker on this forum. Think I joined in 2007, but was probably lurking here since 2003. Decided to finally sell my celica (poor grad student, keeping my 92 geo metro and riding public transportation, but can't afford to keep two cars now). Thought I'd post this here too in case any current members have any interest, as there's a couple of unique parts. Here's my craigslist listing with some photos: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/5689877676.html of additional interest to 6gc members: --Has front and rear Tein springs, installed Fall 2004. --Stock 94 spoiler with Doggy riser blocks that I bought back in 2005. Think these are pretty tough to find these days. --TRD shortshifter and TRD leather-wrapped shifter. Installed in Fall 2004. Shifts great, and in good shape. Know these are pretty tough to find too. --17''wheels and tires. It's basically all stock besides that. Not perfect shape, but good shape for it's age. Lots of recent work done, but see the craigslist link for more details. Not looking to part out, but thought I'd throw it up here in case someone was looking for something like this. Thanks for all your help over the years 6gc! Learned so much from this site. I'll be posting a detailed review of the car in coming weeks as a sort of goodbye. |

I noticed too that books one and two appear to be for the 5th generation. Simiar cars in a lot of ways, so still helpful. Logged into the Pennsylvania library link and used your access code....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Very helpful information there. Am trying to revive my celica after it mostly sitting for the last six years, and the C clip from the driver side CV axle popped off the axle and fell into the transmission. Wasn't sure what to do, but with these diagrams I might be able to tackle taking the transmission apart and getting it out. Car will most likely need a new clutch soon anyway, so will use this back luck as an opportunity to do that too. Thanks again! |

Found the part number from toyotaworld: 90016-AA103 about $.60 for the bolt. I'm going to order it just to make sure I have the right part. In the meantime, I found a bolt at a local hardware store which should help me get by until the proper part arrives. The bolt that fit was metric, labeled M12-1.25. Narrow threading too, I believe. So if anyone else has this problem in the future and needs a temporary crutch bolt I hope this helps. This thread was helpful: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=62283&hl= Thanks also for the suggestions. |

Update: I think its the part number listed below in the diagram: The 47721A http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1994_TOYO....html?hl=47721A I'm guessing I can get this at any hardware store, just not sure of the exact size. |

I was driving on the interstate yesterday and heard the sound of a bolt fall and whack against the car. A couple of miles later when coming to a stop, I heard a thunk and then intense grinding. After inspection, it appears the bolt that secures the caliper to the steering knuckle wiggled itself free. The top of the caliper slid forward and wedged against the rim, grinding and damaging the inside of it. Does anyone know what size this bolt is offhand? Its quite thick. No work has been done on this part of the car for years, so I'm surprised anything happened. On top of that the tire went flat at the same time....happy friday the 13th indeed Hope someone can help with offhand knowledge - I just moved and my haynes manual is boxed up somewhere. Meanwhile the car isn't drivable. Thank you for any help |

I've tried ordering this exhaust system from several companies over the last few days (racingworks.com, pit crew motorsports, etc), and all say that they cannot get it. I know it's been discontinued, but does anyone know a site or shop where I can still get it? I'd prefer not to go custom unless absolutely necessary. Thanks! |
