Well I can't really complain about my car, my dad got it for a good deal and I traded my 1976 Ford F100 (FAST, but gas hog) to him for it. I'm actually selling the celi though... I've got my eyes on a Flint Mica '08 tC. And the tC's a 5 speed. no more auto smile.gif But yeah, even though I've only had the celi a month the ST's way too slow and I need something new...

sadly my celica is my beater. $150 car that's in decent shape with a/c though. She smokes at 4800rpm and up, has bad orange peel (working on that now), leaks a qt of oil every two days, smells funny, has 16" volkswagen beetle mag wheels, no floor or defrost setting for hvac, no rear defroster, engine fans that run constantly, and has a bolt broke off on the oil pan which I still have to fix. She did have a cracked radiator, busted high beam, and a clock that reset every time the car turned off which I all fixed. I love my Emma to death though (that's the celi's name), and my so-called "non-beater" is my 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (hence the screen name OldsYota). Her name's Olivia and she needs a good deal of work too. I guess both of my cars are beaters, but I love 'em smile.gif

Check 'em out on Cardomain if you want. cardomain.com/1976f100 (I'm in the process of switching accounts)

UPDATE: I fixed the vent problem. The servo was unplugged from the control panel lol

yeah I don't mind it on the interstate but at stoplights it's pretty annoying... So I've been poking around the site and heard a few mentions of the ST not having a fan thermostat on some cars. Maybe I'm one if the "lucky" ones without one lol. Needless to say on payday I'm getting a therrmostatic switch

hmm.. so it could be a bad temp sensor eh? I need to pick up a repair manual I think... I also have a servo bad/unhooked that won't let me change the vent settings for a/c or heat.

So I could pick up one of those thermostatic switch kits and just have the fans run by that right? The ECU wouldn't mind would it? smile.gif

On the 7AFE are the electric fans supposed to run all the time? My '95 had a cracked radiator and I'm thinking the previous owner might have directly wired them to run all the time...

I ended up buying a new high-beam from toyota. $130. I needed the light so I could get it inspected. I put it in a couple weeks ago

It was a piece of cake to get the front bumper off, except for that top nut on the fender.

Thanks everybody!

on my drivers side floormat the little hook that keeps it in place is gone altogether. how hard would it be to replace that? it's not a big deal but it moves all over the place while i am driving and i am tired of always having to adjust it.
any help on either matter would be great.
thanks

Same here, I'm about to give up and put a screw in it
