Looks like I have forgotten to update this topic for some time, but the project still goes on. The engine was already completed and installed in car, as you can see on the pictures below. Still a lot of things have to be done on the project, like the air intake, exhaust, bushings on the suspension (one may say it has nothing to do with turbocharging, but... I decided it will be a good idea to change them) wink.gif Creating basic maps, engine break in, dyno etc.

The gauges are for oil temp c°, oil pressure and egt

Wait! Something is missing here wink.gif

I know what this is - it is a result of heavy breaking, so the engine jumped out of the engine bay. biggrin.gif

QUOTE (Ted95 @ Mar 2, 2013 - 4:54 PM) *
what are your power goals for the 7a?

The turbo is for setups from 170 up to 250 Hps, so the target is somewhere between these numbers.

all that for a 7a

....yes, and it was still not enough biggrin.gif

The turbine arrived today, the uprated clutch and fuel injectors are on its way to me.
The last few days I was choosing the bov. My favorite for now is HKS SSQV.

Thanks Smaay.

Judging by the technical information quoted on most e-shops they should have the same diameters. But I found one e-shop where they indicate different information. I was also told, that the JDM ones are from better material, but this I wasn't able to veryfi anywhere.

So if there's anyone who changed the exhaust valves in the past on USDM 7AFE engine and has its technical specifications, I'd be very glad if you can send me anything which can help me to decide biggrin.gif .

Hi all!

I was searching for OEM exhaust valves for my Celica ST (7AFE) and have noticed, that there are USDM and EDM/JDM ones available on the market. The part numbers are:

13715-15070 for USDM ones
13715-16060 for Euro/JDM ones.

The USDM ones are about 30% cheaper, but are they interchangeable with the EDM/JDM ones? Does anyone know where is the difference between those two exhaust valves?

Thx

The Suspension Techniques are a good choice. I installed them a few years ago togeter with new stock shocks and tanabe springs and the feeling after this change was much stiffer. Now with the coilovers I'm more satisfied, only it is not prepared for some poor quality roads in Czech Republic rolleyes.gif

Last week I received more parts to my project. After some mistake of the USPS who directed the package to Ireland instead of Czech republic I received the package with ARP bolts. A few days after this I received the forged Spool conrods from Australia (see pictures below). Now I'm waiting for the ARP flywheel bolts and trying to find good clutch suitable for 250 hp's, though the aimed power wold be a bit lower. As the crankshaft is quit old (ca 115 ths miles) a new one from Toyota had to be ordered. Gaskets would be also from Toyota and I hope, that soon I'll have all the parts necessary to close the engine biggrin.gif

Shinny! Looks like bundles of moneys. What rods are you going to use?

The setup must be reliable and these pistons were recommended to me by a friend as the best solution. Regarding the rods, I'm not decided yet. The motor mechanic told me, that the stock ones are good enough for 200 Hp so I may stay stock here.

I also ordered red aluminum wheel nuts (not installed yet) and received the branded kick panels from Vincent (already installed, thanks biggrin.gif )
Hey man take care with this nuts, I use that, and I went a wheel. And other friend had the same problem kindasad.gif kindasad.gif

Thanks, the more satisfied users I know, the most I'm satisfied with the choose wink.gif
What does it mean "went a wheel" ? Does it mean you lost the wheel???

Thanks bud.

Thanks pal! I bought the TRD wing on e-bay in 2011 from Japan. It was a good luck and it fit into my project very well biggrin.gif Someone from 6gc.net asked me about it a few months ago and since then I couldn't find other one frown.gif

id also like to know about the spoiler. how off are the bolt holes?

I can't find my records about measuring of the bolt holes. Unfortunately the holes were different from the ones for the euro style spoiler. And I'm affraid that it's also different from GT4 wing. The rear screws are going upright to the trunk lid, but the front ones are going to the lid under different angle. You have to drill an oval hole.
If I find my records or I'll manipulate with the wing, I'll measure it again and will let you know.

Because of your cad i want a trd. When i finish my build ill give ya some tips and tricks. Supercharger is alot of custom stuff. Read aj's thread in forced induction. Btw i just drove to his house today and loaded up some stuff. Stay tuned in my thread.

Of course I'm very happy that my car inspired someone to search for the TRD wing biggrin.gif I hope you'll get lucky to find one in good condition. I suggest to search in Japan, GB or Cyprus. I'll stay tuned wink.gif Thanks

1) I agree with the picture you chosed in my case;
2) I don't like the idea to write anything to the calendar. I think that if I write anything to it, I'll destroy it. If I want to write anything to the calendar, I use another calendar without pictures. But I know, that the majority here voted for two-sided calendar, so I would prefere to minimize the grid so a halve page may be used for the second picture;
3) I don't mind if you add the pictures of the celicas of non members to the poll.

All the pictures are very nice, so I can't wait to see the calendar in my hands wink.gif

If its carbon fiber, then it should withstand some harsher treatment wink.gif
I like this front lip so I bought one a few years ago. Then, when I had been working on the design of my Celi, I included this lip to the project.

The body man was really skillful - nothing was cut out from the hood. Just a lot of precise hammering and some grinding wink.gif
And the color - it took me a few months to find the right one for my project. I saw it on one Lexus ISF and the searching was over biggrin.gif
