You can have them satin or matte by the way. All the major paint lines in automotive refinishing has a MATTE finish clear . PPG global D8102 mixed 4:1:1 with D884 and D871 will give you MATTE, Pre mix the D8102 4:1 with D893 Performance clear then mix 3:1:1 with the D884 and D871 and you have a egg shell satin look. And the clear will outlast the car. I am a ICAR, ASE, PPG gold certified painter. |

Here it goes lol. I am not a kid this car has never been owned by a kid and never beat on. Its a 4 cyl. whats the point. Reason Im selling is I am moving out of state at the end of this month and I DO NOT want to ship this. I will if i dont get a reasonable offer but I would like not to. It is a 1997 Toyota celica ST limited edition 1.8L Automatic. 143,xxx miles. Mechanically it is in excellent condition, I am a Auto-body collision Painter and have done all the work at my own dealership using only the best on it. I have replaced the whole front end suspension , CV joints, shocks and struts all the way around KYB G2 with Tein springs giving it a nice low stance but great ride quality, Rack and pinion is about 2 mo old along with tie rods and wheel bearings. and the control arm bushings. There is also a new timing belt done and i just replaced the spark plugs. 6 months ago I replaced my a/c compressor dryer and evaporator as well. So the a/c is as good as new. As far as the custom part goes I will get to the paint in a second. the rims are 17" scion TC rims and are custom painted Gold and black marble. If you are a celica fan you will know one of the things these cars need is the JDM headlight conversion with HIDs. This is not cheap they run about 7-800.00 on ebay plus putting HIDs in them. These are OEM JDM Projector headlights and the lens are glass which means no sun fading EVER! they have 6k HIDs in them as well. There is a system I have a pioneer cd player with Kicker Type R 6 1/2" in the door powered by a Amp and a kicker Comp 10"sub powered by a separate AMP. As far as the paint goes its all done at my shop in a down draft booth by me with PPG global paint and yes I am ICAR ASE and PPG Gold certified. The paint was done over 6 years ago and you can not tell at all. The clear is 3 coats thick with a lifetime warrantied custom clear from PPG. As long as you wax it monthly it will stay looking as good as it does for the life of it. The paint work is all done with factory colors which will be provided to the new owner in case of a OOOPPPSSS. Dont worry because it was done with factory coded paint they can match it without having to RE-paint the whole car. It is 2 toned down the side the green is the original toyota color. and the black pearl is Chryslers Black crystal. The marble or "BOWLING BALL " is a mix of the 2 and I will tell you how its done once purchased Along with a number of someone who could help you out if need be, as I am moving out of state. I am sure I am missing something. This is a one of a kind celica. It will last forever I have maintained this car very well because I am anal about my cars and toys. You must see to appreciate. This price is pretty firm because it is already pretty low for what this car with this work should be. BUT, I will entertain offers. Please Do NOT OFFER anything till you have seen this in person. You can text me anytime or call, If i dont answer leave a message or TEXT me . (813)843-0600 name is Jay. ![]() ![]() |

Not gloating but I am ASE , ICAR , PPG certified bodyman/Painter. Not being able to take off the bumper is the least of the problems but BONDO is only suppose to be at most a 1/4 of a inch thick and not used to make parts or kits with. maybe your 1st or your 100th pot hole you will have pieces if not all of this "kit " falling off. If I were you before you waste more material I would cut it off and start over with a better material such as fiberglass or carbon fiber and do molds rather then permanently fixing it on your bumper. Im not being a ass I just no your going to regret it 3 mo from now if not sooner |

Paint looks wierd cause its not atomized right. Its called Modeled paint . When cleared it will look stripey or blotchy or both. A) not a good paint gun . ways to over come it cross coat it make like x when you paint. Play with the air pressure HVLP gun needs to be set at 10psi- 20 psi no more then that sprayed approximately 6 in from pannel with a 80-90% overlap at a slow steady pace with long strokes |

Hey I am a ICAR platinum, ASE Master, PPG platinum certified Painter. What I USE PROFESSIONALLY is 3M Perfect It II rubbing compound. Thats after Ive wet sanded . The compound is one of the best out there. its also pretty cheap I get it for 14.82 a quart. Just look in the phone book for a autobody supply store. You will not get the same result from any of these other products that have been posted. Trust me Ive tried them all. It might satisfy them just enough, But I as a painter would always spot out a half assed didnt know what someone was doing and didnt use the right stuff buff. AND I LOOK AND LAUGH EVERY TIME.Also remember when buffing always use a high speed buffer like a makita 927c. A orbital buffer will not do the trick. and before buffing finish off the sanding with 2000 or 3m trizact 3000 grit disc |

Hey I was going to buy a new set of Drill and slotted and I cant remember if I bought specifically for the ST. I was wondering if there is a difference between the GT and ST front brake rotors? If so can you use the GT rotor on the ST with no modification ? |

Thank you, have alot of my sweat and blood in it lol. Anyone interested in a custom paint job I can do anything you want, Airbrush custom mixed colors. I am a PPG, I-Car, ASE cetified Collision painter. Remember though you get what you pay for. Im not macco, My jobs start out at 2500. Good quality paint alone costs over 500 alone. I use only PPG or House of kolor Also id like to add I painted this about 4 or 5 years ago and it is my DD and sits in the sun all day long. No color fade whatsoever. I can mix up a new pint of paint do a test card and its a exact match. Find me one paint job from macco that you can do that with even after 1 year |

hey im a autobody painter. you did a awsome job but 2 things there is a matte clear most paint lines make it like PPG, DUPONT, BASF but it is expensive... if you redo them and it was black urethane base from a auto paint supply place ask for there hardner PPG's global system uses D888 for a activator it catalyzes it ... only thing wrong with the work was when you get new tires doubt you thought about the weights lol your gonna have to redo them |

Bro I am the head painter at a local dealership here in clearwater,fl the reason why your bumpers are a different color is because they have been repainted and the painter did not tint the color right plastics sometimes come out darker so a decent shop will require them to do a plastic test panel and tint the color so you will never know the difference take your car to the shop get a estimate to repaint them to match save you some money |
