I have nothing original of the SX-R, but the badge in my engine bay says it, so that's why my photo album is called that, not that it really matters.

maybee its a re-birth

Hey Guys I just installed kybs and tein lowering springs and all I`m getting is alot of creeking from the springs rubbing together near the bottom. I could see the wear where it is rubbing. I only hear the noise in slow speeds and going over bumps I could hear the springs rubbing and hitting itself. What can I do to fix this? The bump stops are at the top of the spring and cannot be moved adleast I don`t think. Give me some help guys I do not know what could do to fix it....maybe buy vinyl and melt it on to spring to stop or reduce the noise? I tried researching this and haven`t really found any solutions. Thanks guys

i had the same setup once and i didnt really have that issue i only had the issue of the front shocks bottoming out whenever i when over a heavy pothole, my solution was to remove them and get "COILOVERS" BC Black and gold edition, had them on for like 2 years (Knock on wood) no issues.

guys i have this noise that sound like i have a supercharger coming from my passenger wheel area, it sounds like the plastic is rubbing on the Tyre but its not, its got worse over the last week, im hoping is a wheel bearing and not a gearbox issue (Gearbox changing still the same). when the car warms up well the sound comes and i can hear it more when decelerating im hoping its nothing major.

My question is has anyone else got this kind of noise and if so what was it, its ****ting me

Some photos ive gotten around posting of the install job.

All jacked up ready to go.

The stocks

Patiently waiting for a life of harsh abuse.

And wam bam in like lightning.

Never forgetting to apply the grease. Blue yum, looks as good as it tastes.

Money shot of the top mount

Money shot of the coils with the rays nuts on. Who doesnt love some red nuts?

Shot of wheel with nuts on

Problem with aftermarket parts, they are sometimes never as good as oem. The brake line bracket wasnt perect... so i couldnt mount the brake line to it.

Being how jdm i was, cable tied it on. Untill i get off my ass and buy some extenders to mount it.

And my try at Rustys infamous hover celica!

Hope everyone enjoyed that as much as i did writing all this at 3:10am!!

I had the same issues with my BC's you just need to get pliers and bend the bracket

I'm going to offend a few people here, but this is the only non GT Four 6th gen, i would ever say i would drive, it's absolutley stunning love everything about it, colour choice is superb, wheels and ride height suit that car to a tee. The person who built this car has a great vision and imagination on how to build a car. Health to enjoy buddy.

i second that well said

Hi Guys

i have a enoying creek when i come to taking off at the lights or sometimes it makes the creek when i put my foot down on the cluch to change gears and also when turning the wheels on the spot, ive had a new clutch done not long ago heavy duty exedy and i have BC Black and gold coil overs, now i thought it was my brakes and still have some belief it is so, ive changed all my brakes pads front and back i got new rear shims, but toyota apparently dont sell the fronts anymore.

i also replaced the seal inside the pins, greesed all pins and the brake plates between caliper and pad(as advised in the brake install instructions), still no luck im starting to belive my suspension rubbers are going but all still seems fine they were checked not long ago, now after doing the brakes at least the rears have stopped making stretching, clunking noise, the creeking noise is still present in front and the brake calipers have been sprayed lately(i got paint on the seal around the caliper pot (could that be the cause).

Please give your ideas its enoying as hell and its doin my head in, im gonna have to take it to my mechanic on the weekend!!!!
