This is the first I've heard of this curse business... Should I be afraid? |

It's easier to make a 6g Celica a show stopper. There aren't a boat load of readily available quality aftermarket parts, everything has to be custom unless you go the engine swap route. That said, having a fast 6g Celica is that much cooler; I'd rather have a sleeper. |

I don't think it's working.. it looks like it works.. the armor all hides the armor all spots, but if I use window cleaner to get the armor all off, the spots return. I'm thinking the plastic itself is damaged, but idunno. Someone on a car detailing site suggested I try engine degreaser. That scares the hell outa me, especially since it's the clear plastic on my gauge cluster that I'm worried about. If worst comes to worst, I guess I can either keep my gauge cluster armor all'ed, or buy a replacement bit of plastic from Toyota. (Which I am sure will be retarded expensive) |

There are spots on my gauge cluster from where Armor-All sat for a while, and I can't seem to remove them with anything. Anyone know of a way to remove the spots? |

Here are the pictures. Click on the links for close-ups. ![]() speedometer tach gas / temp inverter NOTE: The SpeedHut decal doesn't come with these gauge faces. I cut it up to put the word "PEE" on my roomates monitor. The 3M double-sided tape is in there though. |

Brand new SpeedHut Reverse El-Glo gauge faces. These are brand new, still in the plastic, never been opened. Orange numbers on white face Upgraded inverter CELICA logo on tach TRD logo on speedometer Paid $112 for them, will sell for $90 including shipping to the lower 48 states. Only reason I bought is because they match the buttons on my alpine head unit. I'm getting a new alpine head unit with blue buttons, so I'm going to buy the blue gauge faces. Pictures coming soon eric@caribou-maine.net EDIT: Paypal e-mail address is eb@maine.rr.com |

I also like the wheels.. they look a lot like the TRD that are optional on the Matrix (which fit the Celica) picture |

Hey, thanks for the pictures.. The wheel gap doesn't look too bad at all on stock suspension.. If there are any more pictures out there, especially side views, I'd love to look at em. |

Benevolence: Everything that I've done to the car is on that site. No real modification, engine is stock. Only added a CAI and Catback exhaust. Yes, it is a hatchback. I still need to take interior pics, waiting for some good weather to do that. Also need to take a couple pictures of a couple minor scratches and a ding.. they were there when I bought the car. The car has been in one accident.. rear ended at a stop sign at about 15mph. only damage was to the bumper and exhaust, replaced the OEM exhaust with a GReddy catback. The rear bumper was replaced with an OEM. I had to create a new 5mph bumper in order to fit the gt-4 bumper cover correctly, and to mount the fog lights. The result is a much stronger 5mph bumper.. made out of steel, not aluminum. PlanetFuzz: Yeah, the plan wasn't to keep it an ST auto forever. Was going to swap the engine and tranny, but things just didn't pan out. That bumper and hood would have kept a turbo setup nice and cool. |

Minimal effort involved with the site.. just want to know what you people think. Am I missing any important information? Am I asking too much for the car? http://209.15.64.29/celica/index.htm |

Oh, I'm not knocking the Z, it's a great car... but I'm biased too. I think Toyota makes some of the highest quality cars out there. On a reliability scale, Nissan is probably in the top 5.. but Toyota is number 1. The design of the MKIV Supra was so far ahead of it's time.. I still think it's damn sexy... but unfortunatly, as you said, the Supra is crazy expensive. I keep waiting for them to come down, but it never happens... patience is running out. |

Nissan 300zx twin turbo is near the top of my list. Closest thing I can come up with for the 'poor man's supra' |

It wont be a show car, but it wont be ghetto either. I've got friends who do body work.. I get the carcas of a vehicle for $200 (maybe an AMC javelin or something like that, even considering an S-10 Blazer) I drop $500 into a 1976 Caddy for the donor engine.. 500 cubic inches, and only 46,000 miles, the engine is mint. The rest of the cash goes into tranny, custom exhaust, suspension, wheels + tires, and paint. The rest is all little crap that can be done over time... billet grill, sound system, cam shaft, headers, fuel injection kit, shift kit, chrome this and that, etc.. |

Anyone here with speedhut gauges? How is the quality? Are you satisfied with them? How long have you had them? |

I suggest prying from the top and bottom rather than the sides. You'll probably break the vent if you pry from the middle on either side (the hinge that allows the vent to swivel is right there) |

For my celica? Show. The way I look at it, $5000 can either get me an engine swap and 220 horsepower, or it can get me 400 horse and 500 ft. lbs of torque in another car. *shrug* |

I never get compliments on my car. When my girlfriend drives it, she gets compliments.. what's the deal with that? Closest thing I've ever had for a compliment is <redneck_voice>not bad, for a rice burner</redneck_voice> |
