QUOTE(Kwanza26 @ Jan 9, 2008 - 1:47 AM) JASMA isn't a brand... i think it's something similar to a CARB certified product... Anyway... yeah... Yea I know that, I meant to say JASMA approved. The brand is JBK. QUOTE(Daftboy @ Jan 9, 2008 - 2:35 AM) no offense but this seems kinda of counter productive...TRD did the R&D for the TRD muffler and setup...you should keep with what they have and not just mix and match parts unless you are gonna get a custom system for the headers back. It wouldn't matter since its just exhaust pipping. Theres no original components on the exhaust anymore. And it follows the same path as a non TRD 6gen exhaust. |

QUOTE(DEATH @ Jan 8, 2008 - 8:39 AM) Just barely quieter - the big diff was it was lower toned. Sounded pretty god to me, better than a single but I'm serious - the Y felt restrictive. I'm gonna go to Ebay and see if I can find the one I had so you can see. Here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Civic...sspagenameZWDVW Looked good too. Hope this helped. Cheers for that. Just don't want my exhaust getting any louder. The one I'm looking at is similar too that but the tips are different. Half the price of that one though but thats cause I'm mates with a performance parts importer |

QUOTE(DEATH @ Jan 7, 2008 - 9:50 AM) I had the twin exhaust on a Y pipe on my last Celica and maybe it was just the buttdyno but it actually seemed like I was going slower than when I took the same exhaust, cut it in half and just used one in a traditional setup. I'm sure it would depend on the specific exhaust you were thinking about but IDK. Just what it felt like to me. IMO - keep the TRD exhaust - at least it gives you bragging rights. Its just TRD piping now took the muffler off ages ago. Was too quiet for me. Muffler that I got on now probaly has better flow, gained some HP after installing it. What about noise level on that twin setup?? Do you know how loud it was?? Compared to just having the single. |

Oh and about running on 91. According too a car specifications site, 3rd gen 3S-GE's should be run on 95 or higher. I've always run it on 95 or 98 if I'm feeling rich lol. Runs pretty **** on 91. |

Another question: Has anyone had a twin bigbore exhaust?? Found one that is 2 x 3" Outlet 4.5" Mid Diameter. Would it be louder than my single 4.0" Outlet 5.5" Mid diameter?? Same brand, same materials, just different setup. Don't really want my exhaust any louder, these twin ones will look awesome though. |

Yea probaly would be easier without out the seats however at the time I did mine I had only just bought my cell and couldn't get the seats out. Still was fairly easy to do without the seats out. Made custom mounts for both front and back aswell to fit Earthquake 6.5"s front and rear. |

QUOTE(Bitter @ Jan 5, 2008 - 9:35 PM) stay with the exhaust you have, the extra 1/4 inch wont make a lick of difference and may actually loose you power. Thanks for that. I was thinking the same way just wanted too get another opinion. Ohwell looks like I'll just get my extractors chucked on and get a better big bore. |

Well I found some 2nd hand JASMA extractors for my Celica. In very good condition for only $80. Talked my olds into buying me them 4 christmas lol. Anyways... Almost got enough money for a new exhaust setup but was just wondering whether its worth going to 2.5" or staying at 2.25"?? |

QUOTE(Rusty @ Jan 5, 2008 - 7:48 PM) for the rears you have to take the seats out - I don't how much of the seat you take out as mine already came with alpine (6.5") ....if only we could toss a turbo into our cars I didn't have to take out my rear seats to put rear speakers in. Just pull the plastic trim foward and took the factory grill off too reach through. Then I positioned it and screwed it in through the grill hole. |

Yea well it is usually people who don't know **** all about Toyotas. 6 gen Celicas and the mid 90's Supras would have to be two of the best looking Toyotas ever made. |

QUOTE(Rusty @ Jan 3, 2008 - 12:38 AM) stock extrators flowing on to stock exhaust system umm I might be doing a cold airbox or cold air intake Lol good****. Yea on trademe they got this cold air intake piping and hoses for like $45. You just got to hacksaw a small bit off of it and chuck a pod on. Makes the engine sound mean as like you've got a big bore. And gets the 3S-GE going abit harder. |

Dam thought atleast one other person from Hastings would be on here Heaps more people seem to be buying 6gens where i'm from now, used to just be Hondas that rolled round. So far theres: Mine! Red SS-II lowered with gold mags - mint az White with Lip kit, has RPM decals White GT with white 16" Mags (Pioneer of the tint spray rear lights in Hastings! Then I did my tail lights after seeing his, now nearly every modded car from Hastings has tinted rear lights) White SS-II with factory kit and mags White ?? with Chromies and half kitted A green one that made me think someone had stolen my car until I noticed the spoiler was slightly smaller and had diffrent mags Red SS-II with GT4 kit and hood White ?? Lowered with bigbore exhaust (Guy must of just bought it, haven't seen before) Think there is another white one with a veilside kit too. These all the modified ones that cruise round anyways, heaps of factory ones around. |
