wait a sec......o nm....im thinkin of sumthing else i was thinking for su reason that the control unit was by the master cylinder. At the time i was reading an artical bout bench bleeding and i probly got my words mixed up. What i ment was, ware the abd control unit is, look inside the metal box thing and look for the cylinoids. Which look to me like a bunch of batteries. |

Take apart the gauges. Start by takin out all the plastic then remove the gauge unit itself. and make sure evrything is connected or try jiggling sum wires to see if they work. It could also be a bad backlight bulb. You can pick up a new one at pepboys or autozone for like 3 bucks. |

u could try a junk yard. They have everything for cheap. Also try searching for what you need on ebay. But it looks like ur in maybe over 1000. Not syre by how much but definaltey over 1000. Could be more or less depending if you get anything form a junkyard or not. |

If you want you can just take apart the master cylinder and look for all those abs cylonoids in that big metal box looking thing. Looks like a bunch or batteries. |

Honestly, i think its safer to have abs. I saw a video of the difference between abs and no abs. But then again atleast you have more space. Once you put in the new master cylinder tho, make sure u fill with enuf brake fluid and bleed the brakes just so that all the air gets out.. p.s Also bench bleed the master cylinder |

It would be easy to have 2 have 2 people working on it. Have one hold the release and one trying to pop it. |

Yea, not to long, from amp under carpet to battery. And i think the best place to put the ground is right underneath the trunk. Theres sum ground metal down there that would be ideal for hiding that nasty wire. |

QUOTE(GriffGirl @ Nov 16, 2007 - 1:00 PM) The price varies somewhat depending on what region you're in. I looked high and low within a 500 mile radius of Portland, OR for a car like that, the closest I came was a 97 with I think like 150k on it for around 8k. (Turned out I just couldn't afford it anyway.) I think 12k for a 99 with so few miles on it is not only a great deal, but a great find. Negotiate—EVERYTHING is negotiable! You can probably walk away with it for 10 and a half if you wave a little cash at them and finance it. If you're buying it to mod though, I'd pass on it because it doesn't matter if it's 25k or 250k on the engine in that case. Plus, wouldn't a '99 with 25k on it still be under the original warranty at least for another year? Sweet! Make sure you Carfax it to ensure the odometer hasn't been messed with. Check all the VINs. but u know wut girl... if he wants a 99 with few miles, honestly 12000 seems hi. Make sure to check Edmunds.com, and ebay motors, And kelly blue book.com as weell. u mite be able to find it for a better price round there. |
