Its amazing how the conditions you're driving in effects your fuel efficiency. In my previous job, I would be driving 60K's one way to work on a freeway. Although the freeway resembled a car park often. I would comfortably get 600K's out of a tank. The best was 840K's on a tank which included a long 2 hour one way trip up north on a freeway. Now with my new job, I am catching the train and so only driving to and from the train station and around local on weekends. Now I am barely getting 500K's on a tank!! Disgusting. Of course that same tank lasts longer now in absolute time, its just not as efficient. |

Reading from this post down: http://www.ozcelica.com/deltaforum/index.p...mp;#entry152073 Shows that people don't think much of the Pedders springs. Such as comments like: "King springs make pedders and paint them." and "LOL @ pedders.." and "In a more serious note I've also heard Pedders and King Springs are made in the same factory that can only turn me off more" Koni and Eibach seem to have a good rep. Need to see how much they are in Australia. I think I might need to PM NGHTKD as he doesn't seem to be subscribed to this thread. Has anyone used http://www.newcelica.org/ ? |

Oh ok. Who else can do the install that you can think of ? Also, these "sportsryders" who else sell's them or are they Pedders only ? They are the best for performance and a mild 40mm drop that you know of ? I don't think I can do this myself, I have enough trouble checking the oil !! Not a history of tinkering with cars. Give me a computer... well thats another story ;-) Also, have you, or anyone, heard of these fella's ? http://www.wholesalesuspension.com.au/ Or http://www.shiftperformance.com.au/ Thanks |

As you can tell, I have no idea and am just guessing as a way to get this done. Thanks Hi Dave, I'd suggest getting the Pedders sportsryder springs. I'm sure midas would do it for you but they might not have decent springs. The springs are about $350 and they will probably charge you about that much again to install. --- Thanks Mangozac. I'll google those springs and see. So I dont need to go into changing struts etc ? If I needed to do that, I'd probably just give it a miss. Just want to go as low as I can without overhauling the car and under $1k. Midas the best place you think or somewhere better ? I was just throwing it out there as an option. Maybe I can get quotes from a few places. Thanks again. PS Yes, raining down here in Sydney alot too! |

QUOTE(pittfirefighter @ Dec 21, 2007 - 11:58 AM) its behind the entire assembly, its where the wiring connects to the assembly.... you have to either pull the whole thing forward away from the black plastic with a screwdriver or pull the whole black plastic forward... the courtesy lights (doors - red - bottom of door) are on the same fuse as that light Ahh thanks mate. So its definitely not a fuse then, cause those red courtesy lights are all working for me. I'll take a look at it and maybe try a globe. Thanks!! |

Hi all. I know dealerships unplug the fuse for the boots internal light as they have the boot open and dont want to drain the battery. So my boot light doesnt work and the globe "appears" to be ok. But nothing else electrical is out, so could 1 fuse be in charge of the boot light ?? If so .... any tips/hints ? Thanks |

QUOTE(TheRockman @ Dec 18, 2007 - 1:06 PM) I think I used to pedal covers similar to stevest202's (I have an auto too). My problem was I didn't want to drill into my stock pedals so I clipped them on instead. When I tried to press the accelerator to the floor, the clips would get between the pedal and the floor and it robbed me of about .50" - .75" of "pedal to the floor" action. So in the end I took them off because I found them more annoying than useful. One thing I would suggest (if possible) is measure your stock pedals and make sure you get covers that are somewhat close to the their actual measurements. When I got mine, the gas pedal cover was way too long which is why I hesitated to permanently attach them. I've often wondered about THESE. They're for a 7th gen, but there is the possibility that they are the same size as our stock pedals. If anyone knows for sure if these will fit feel free to chime in. Oh, I dont think I have that Accel problem, mine were clips and screws to put on. I'll have a look though and see if I am missing a bit of movement in the Accel. Nice find on E-bay. Lets see if they fit.... |

Hi all, My '99 Celica has a key and alarm button thingy in 2 separate pieces. I used a Corolla last week for a day and notice it has the alarm buttons built into the base of the key. Fantastic idea!! How can one get this for an older Toyota (Celica) ? Is it possible ? Whats it called, so I know how to search for it. Thanks |

Hi all. Just hoping for opinions for pedals. I knows it a small thing, but I like the chrome finished pedals, but like some grip too. Any pics of what people here use ?? The ones I have are a little slick and the brake pedal is that little bit too big and thus catches my foot sometimes ![]() |

Hi all, I am getting 600-700km per tank. (converts to about 370-430miles) I do city and highway, but my highway is usually in peak hour, so virtually all city driving. I have been happy with that, but anything better is always welcome. I'll try some injector cleaner and see if that helps, and my spark plugs are due to be changed (original and the car has done just under 70,000km's) How big is the fuel tank of a 6th gen ? I know it says 60L but that hasn't workout for me. I had the fuel light on for a few K's. filled up and it only took 48L's. Another time I had a quarter left, filled up and it only took 34L's. Makes me think its a 50L tank. |
