Off topic but... purplegt4, I'm quoting what you said and putting it in my signature. =] (with small editing for privacy of course). On topic. I like the look prowzee. Do you have any pictures of the front lip while it is more secure? Have you also thought of making it in the infamous CF? =o Also... do you plan to colormatch the rear-window-visor? I'm hoping not because I like the way it is! =D |

Here's what you are looking for if you go with the Friction Modified Synchromesh route. ![]() It may be semi-synthetic but it works miracles. It's like having your gearbox made of butter and shifting with a knife!!!!!1111one Just go to any GM related dealership. |

Try living in Montreal. Our winters are ridiculously long and very... deceiving. Like right now! It's SO BRIGHT outside yet it's -10. Our winters can get fun though! And not so fun... when we get stuck in snow, like I did yesterday-three times. Then again I'm still running on summer tires. working ebrake + no traction + empty parking lot = fun  |

QUOTE(speedfeen @ Feb 28, 2008 - 10:35 AM) Well we have had the car since i joined so less than one month and we are still trying to get everything else right so tranny fluid wasnt the first thing, and the higher i shift the worse the grinding gets, if i go low then it wont :S works weird, and it terrible when down shifting so i now entirely skip 3rd gear and brake a little bit more.....i am almost apt to not to even use 3rd gear the sound drives me crazy! and yea dont mind putting some money into it of course till i get my fd lmao then its an arguement of what car the money goes to ![]() i cant wait! lol and thanks for the pic of the syncromesh! My .02 not to be a suck hole but i love this site, its the first place that im actually taken seriously being a woman in the trade and on the site! AND that im not degraded and if i say something wrong i dont get completely flamed...Appreciate that! A woman driving manual... and who will eventually get an FD? Oh thats hot =o lol ![]() I suggest someone with a 6GC try using the GM Synchromesh friction modified. It's better than the ordinary synchromesh. I can provide the part number for US and Canadian members if anyone is interested. |

What Mike says is true .. sort of. The 3G Acura TLs have the infamous 3rd gear issue, as well as second. The gear will either grind in our out of gear... and as well as pop out of place and back into neutral. What he has wrong is that it's not just "GM Synchromesh" that we use to resolve [not fix] the issue. It's GM Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid: Friction Modified. It's much better than ordinary GM Synchromesh Manual Transmission Fluid. I'm not sure about 6GCs but on the 3G TL, the GM Syncromesh:FM works miracles. It's not that expensive either. Not even 14 dollars Canadian. The regular Synchromesh is just about 11 or so. |

IMO .. I don't like the way the porsche lights look on the Celica. To be honest when I clicked this link I was thinking it would be only the big circular part of the lights. I was hopin to see something like RE's RX7 with Porsche Headlights. |

The mother and man go across the mother comes back and takes one daughter over. The man and mother come back. the mother takes the last daughter over. The mother comes back the mother and man go over. The man comes back. the policeman and robber go across. The mother comes back. the man and mother go across. the man comes back the man goes across with one son. the woman and man come back. the man brings last son over. the man comes back and picks up the woman!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() no, because then the man would be left with the girls Why do you guys make it so complicated? You can have it this way. I'm sure it can be an answer. Send two daughters or sons first to the other side. Send the other two daughters or sons to the other side. Send over both man and woman to the other side. Then finally the cop and robber go last.. in fact they can go first even. This riddle has too many possible outcomes. How about one very very similar. It's a little less complicated. You have a boat, a chicken, a sack of corn and a wolf. Why you have a wolf? I don't know. You must get the chicken, the corn and the wolf onto the boat to reach the other side of the river. You want to make it as efficient as possible, so there is only one boat trip. Given the size of the animals and the sack of corn... you can only bring over one animal/item across the deck and onto the boat at a time. However, the chicken will eat the corn if you leave it unattended and the wolf wll eat the chicken if unattended. You must find a way to get all three over onto the boat. How do you do so? |

Hello folks I know I got a little carried away in writing but... try to bare with me as it may be helpful. I've appared to lost my account, but none of you would really know of me anyways. First let me properly introduce myself, though this may not be the right thread.. but I will go back on topic. The name is Danny/Viet. Either or Komodo is fine. I was once a member here about a year ago, contemplating to buy a 6gc as well. Now I'm planning on getting an 8G Galant. As you see, I'm a member of TGC. My car? Well it will come soon. And yes. I'm Canadian, living in Montreal. Oh. And Mike (_mikeE) knows me personally. With that being said... I like the idea of a Canadian 6G meet. Although I personally do not own a 6g... I can provide information that could be needed for a meet IF there will be one in Montreal. But at the moment... it looks like I'm a little late seeing as how Valo666 has casted a voting. But I will tell you this: Montreal is quite a fair bilingual city. We have city-extensions, as I call them. There are Laval, St. Leonard, RDP, West Islands and Anjou. Possibly some more that I do not really know of. Most stores WILL speek english. You should not need to worry about hotels/motels and such. It's only the citizens themselves you need to worry for. As you know, Montreal is a large city. A large city means more drivers and more pedestrians. I do not know how it is in comparison to Sherbrooke but the drivers we have in Montreal are just nuttcases. On a side note, Montreal and some of it's "city-extensions" is, I believe, one of the only cities in Quebec where you CANNOT turn on a red light... so expect long line ups at a red light. Also. Most of the streets in Montreal will turn into one ways or are one ways themselves. Our traffic system is a little bit different from Ontario. The majority of street lights will inform you to go STRAIGHT and moments later you will be allowed to turn. As Mike just how many times I had to practically shout at him for turning or going straight when he's not supposed to. lol. There are also a lot of places to go and places to see. However as I mentioned there are a lot of nuttcased drivers. So most of the streets will be conjested. Downtown Montreal is not recommended for a drivethrough UNLESS you like waiting a bajillion years. Also our highway system itself can get quite conjested... and there tends to be some sort of accident every other day in the fall/winter season.. I'm not too sure of it in the spring/summer season. There are a quite a number of places that would hold for a nice meet.. also some roads where speeding is made easily. And I don't want to intrude in anyway as I may not quite be apart of the meet but.... Since you guys already started planning the location and voting upon it. Why not cast a voting [if editing for voting in this thread is possible]. And why not create a list of things you/we CAN do in the meet. There's quite a number of things to do... I have a few I could suggest on the top of my head. Paintballing (as Mike suggested) Gokarting Golfing Bowling Racetrack (located in St. Eustache) Plain ol' car meet with no event and just relax in a parking lot Bar-ing Clubbing Raving Restaurant-ing and of course BBQ-ing! Also there is a place in Montreal right off of the highway called "Orange Julep" aka "The Big Orange". There is oftenly a local car meet there every Thursday... and the food there is pretty good... the drink is even better. This is all in respect to Montreal and it's 'city-extensions'. I do not know what it is like in Sherbrooke. |
