Any chance of a black front bumper for a 95 st or a black diver side front fender in good shape?

Check the reservoir tank under the hood to see if you are running low.
You may need to bleed your clutch hydraulic system, which could be due to a leak. Both Clutch fluid and brake fluid are dot 3 hence why people say “brake fluid leak” since it's interchangeable.

I can see why you might think it would fit but if you look at the bottom of the diagram it shows both oil pans and they are quite different. 7AFE is a two-piece set up and is smaller than the one-piece 4AFE. What I can’t figure out is why even online site claim it’s the same oil pan.

Thank you!, I tried explaining this to them but they just stared at me like I was speaking gibberish. I'll try the junkyard before the dealer.

Has anyone had any issues finding a oil pan for the 7AFE? Seemingly both napa and auto zone part numbers bring up the 4afe oil pan which they say also fit the 7afe. This not being the case does anyone have the dealer part number for the 7AFE oil pan or any other info that may help my search?

Have any of you guys experienced a tension pulley for the timing belt breaking off before in your 7AFE's? Also any idea what the dealer may charge for a new tension pulley or how to go about about getting a replacement for cheaper than the dealer? kindasad.gif

For any of you who have installed a TRD Quickshifter, do you find that when you release the e-brake your hand hits the shift knob?

It took me more than a weekend to swap my 7AFE but it was also my first and only motor I have ever replaced. I disconnected the tranny from the motor. I'm not sure if you would be able to pull the engine and the tranny out as a whole. I agree with Hanyo and highly recommend replacing your rear main crankshaft seal while the motor is out. I also put in a new clutch and had my flywheel resurfaced since I had the motor out of the way of the tranny. From there I just replaced all my belts gaskets, a few hoses, the thermostat and did the timing. Now she runs great and I have a motor with only 50,000 on it! Good luck!

QUOTE(Bitter @ Jan 26, 2008 - 11:17 AM)

did you install the thermostat? a new thermostat? whats the check engine light code?

No I never installed a new thermostat, not hard to do might do that tomorrow to see if that solves my issue. I don't have a way of reading the engine light code so i'm not sure what the ligh code is.

I few months ago I blew a rod through my 7AFE motor and today I finally finished putting a new one in. The only thing is when I drive it the engine temp drops and the cheek engine light pops on. When I stop the engine temp come back up. I did not have this problem with the old motor. Did I do somthing wrong instailing the motor, or is this a new problem. I did store my car two months before doing the engine drop. Any thoughs why it is doing this???? kindasad.gif

So the "lever" on the TRD peice would be shorter then the stock peice and not stick up so high?

Would anyone recommend a TRD Quickshifter kit over TWM Performance short shifter TWM Short Shifter (94-99) ? I want a shorter throw as well as a shorter stick because right now the stock one too long to have a sport feel to it and I'm not sure if the Quickshifter kit would do that for me. Thoughts?

I had to park mine for part of the winter becuase I shot a rod through my motor and it took me a while to do a engine swap in my free time. I would just part it on a hard surface like pavment with the e-brake off. If you have to park it on your lawn or somthing put a tarp under it so the moister from the ground does not rott out your car. Also Put a old shirt in the tail pipe to keep things from entering or worse living in it.
