Ok, I will need to know dates that are free in the month of May, pref. a Saturday after the 8th due to some people still in school. Bonus I turn 22 on May 4th, So I can put together something fun maybe.lol

As far as everything else

Location: Kenwood Towne Center- http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&...ved=0CDQQtgMwAw
Meeting point: Dewey's Pizza- 7767 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati, OH‎
Times: Undecided (need local help with this)
Schedule: Undecided (EVERYONE let me know if you want me to set something up)

P.S. Im thinking meet time around 12 to 1 EST (Cincinnati Time)

As long as its a weekend, Brent and I will be able to make it. I'm not going to say a date that I want because my schedule is pretty open, I'll let those with busier schedules make the date decision! Can't wait for this BTW biggrin.gif

I'm in. Just waitin to hear a date and time.

Make sure you bolted the sway bar ball joints up, If so maybe try an even bigger sway bar. Rember if one side isnt hooked up it will affect the other side. By the way you were luckt to have boots left after i lowered mine they came out in pieces.

I have done some body work before. You say your a noob, but the way to learn is to do it yourself,if your not sure on something, read a book, there are plenty. sand it down your-self, you will understand y body shops charge so much. When i had my old one painted the shop and i agreed that if i did the prep work they would knock off $200, paid $600. Looked great. The spraying is easy, the prep is the hard part.

For your rear quarter let a shop handle that one because of the crease. I would get a new door from a junk yard. (been there done that) rolleyes.gif Now you have a new door, no dents, spare parts for future, know where there is a car that u can get more parts off of, sanding experience, paint experience, bragging rights, saved money for future upgrades, and can now help your friends with their cars, or possibly a new career.

I now have dig camera, and just ordered my front vader bumper. Maybe I will start a new thread on how to install. Want to have three coats of clear to avoid those common chips earlier stated.

It didnt go over, that was where the original bumper was. Im pretty sure there were two or three bolts that went upward into the rear quarter, and two or three in the rear mudflap, or if you dont have the mudflat there should be two or three holes there anyway.

Do you have a pic of this Bootslimo? From what i can imagine of your description, it sounds like a reform is in order for the top parts hanging away from the body of your car. You can do this by heating the skirt, and folding/bending it into place. Alot of pro's do it by hand, but i've seen people do it by holding it to the body and heating the kit that way. It's best if done before painting. This can be done with a heating lamp, or a hairdryer. Sounds crazy, but i've seen great work from a hair dryer. lol. You just have to make sure you dont burn it. lol.

I prefer a heating lamp, bc you have your hands free to hold and mold to the car itself. All cars start the same, but over time the panels shift just a little tiny bit. I am a firm believer that the only way to ensure a proper fit is to use the car itself as its own mold. Then by removing it, and exaggerating a key bend to ensure that it holds tight.but that's me.

You were 100% right for sanding it down where need be, that was probably resin for leeway. On some kits, during production, they use a sheet of plastic between the mold and the kit that's being molded, the first layer is always plain resin for those purposes. some kits are composed of solid resin, that's how they maintain those very flexible profiles. It is good to have a fairly flexible kit, but it is also a bad thing at the same time. They have their advantages and disadvantages. Remember Terminator 2? the T1000 had advantages, but was ultimately weaker (hand to hand) than Swartzanager's Terminator. Same idea, different medium.

I'd love to see a pic of this, because id be much more able to help you to perfect this. And i'd love to see a current pic of your car. BTW, the neons look fantasterific! biggrin.gif

The car was sold, but i still have pics, the rear mudflaps ended up holding the body kit in, never seen a prob with cracking even after paint.

QUOTE(frosty @ Oct 3, 2007 - 11:18 AM)

I'm trying to find any and all 6gc'ers in alabama. It's been awhile since I searched and I know we've gotten new members on here (more than I want to go through on profiles).

I've even gone onto other sites (cardomain, auto forums, all-trac.net, etc.) searching.

Shoot, I'm not even sticking to just 6gc's anymore. Been going from the 90-06 celicas, and mr2s.

I guess I'm just desperate for the company of another toyota enthusiast. Just getting jealous of everyone elses meets. I need one here in AL. rolleyes.gif

Hope to be going to school in AL, 4 hvac in april leaving fam in ohio need to do something on weekends.
