yeah im sorry to hear that. but really all it is is the bumper. the whiplash i understand but compared to my accident thats just a fender bender not a wreck.

but feel better with any painkillers they give you. bahaa

Plus it happened so fast but i remember it all so good picture frame by picture frame of how it all happened under 5 seconds. and if i didnt wear my seatbelt one of the ladies at the hospital said i would of been another teen statistic.

and the sound of the two cars hitting each other. i wont forget it, im just soooo bummed out about my car.

Damn, that sucks frown.gif . At least you're ok. You can while away the time thinking about what mods you can do to your new (Gen6) motor. biggrin.gif

haha yeah.

QUOTE(Jeunesse @ Mar 11, 2008 - 7:02 AM)

damn... you alright though?

yeah im fine i guess, was in the hospital for 4 hours. i had chest pain because of the air bag going off and the seatbelt holding me back, my right thumb and arm got scraped from the center console since thats where that arm was located, and left hand was on top of the steering wheel and got rubbed by the steering wheel, then i just found like scrapes and bruises on both sides of my top thighs. i sit close to the steering wheel so i probably knocked everything on the dash
here are the pics of injuries(i took them from my phone at the hospital, being so bored):

Wow! What was the kid driving, a hummer? That looks like some big smash!

Sad to hear another 6 is off the road frown.gif

actually he had a newer ford taurus. kinda sad, he was at a complete stop and he pulled out in the middle fo the street then stopped i had like 1 sec before i hit him so i probably hit him around 35mph, i was doing 40 on a 35. so yeah. =/. even if i was farther away he was all over the road and i still woulda clipped his front bumper trying to go around if i didnt stop intime.

QUOTE(D-Man @ Mar 11, 2008 - 8:06 AM)

That sucks...

Did you have an auto or manuel transmision? Because i need to do a manuel swap... Seeing as you wont be needing it anymore...

Is the insurance going to buy you a new 6g? The only comfort that you can have now, is that you get to make a new Celi-Friend. wink.gif

Still sucks though, looks like my old cougar... Hope your alright...

no it was automatic, even if it was manual the engine was all crammed up and smooshed together i dont think u woulda wanted it.
im not sure its his fault so i just gotta wait till the reimburse my car which who knows how long will take, not tthat long but not right away.=[

Yeah man im not gonna lie i cried a few times not from physical pain but mental pain of losing this amazing car. was my first car and only had it for 2 months. =/
the crazy thing is if i was 30 seconds later i would of passed that street with him not even at the stop sign =/ bummer.

yeah woke up with that, sorry its small, i took it from my phone and from inside my house.
i had to move it cuz the snow plowing guy complained, so its on my driveway with barely any snow built up on it now. but before snow was higher than the wheels.
northern ohio snow. f it.
hopefully next weekend, when the weather is supposed to be 40-50 degrees and sunny ill get some good shots.
later

Ok i'm just ready to put my system in(2 12" kicker L5's) and all im looking for is a cheap sound dampening product that i can use in the trunk so it doesn't rattle my car. i dont wanna spend $50-100 on dynamat or fatmat when i can get same results with something much cheaper. now i heard corkboard is just as good. if there isnt anything else i could find at home depot i'll probably use that. list what u used to sound dampen ur trunk and any other good materials or tips to use on when doing my trunk.
thanks

Hey how did you get that little clock piece out?

um just kinda knocked it out with the handle side of a screwdriver i think. i actually dont really remember how i took it out, just like push it out or hit it out from the outside. see where i show the clock from the outside, try to knock it off from that side.

I swore there was a thread on here somewhere but i couldnt find it so sorry if im double posting about the same thing. anyways....
i originally had it red because my ext. color is red but red isnt a good color choice unless u have the perfect material to use for it, so i changed to blue since my headunit is blue...

what the original piece was after i popped it out:

what i used:

Great guide.im thinking about painting my speaker covers as well. the ones on each door and both in the back seats.im painting the center console from the hazard lights down to the shifter, ash tray door, then the door handle covers and the panel where the power window and door lock buttons are, then a few vent covers, and thats about it. go for it or is it too much?
thanks
