ELS just leave it where it is, megasquirt should ignore it or do its own thing with it

in the tuning software you will assign functions onto the pins, so AC in and AC out will be able to be setup, cruise control should too

The funny thing is, in the US and in Europe everyone wants to have JDM style in there car, but here, 90% of cars onroad are Japanese used imports, so our cars started off JDM and alot of us want the European styling instead lol.... And ofcourse, the classic muscle cars here, having the steering wheel on the Left is a cool thing here lol

Nice car, the thought crossed my mind to flip the motor around in my spare ST185 but I already have a 3SGTE/J160/G282 KP61 Starlet in the works

13.6 , what was your 60ft or your trap speed i could approximate your power from that

Now this is a build! thumbsup.gif

Any particular reason you went with the gt2860 turbo? I am looking into upgrading mine and have been contemplating the gt3076 or gtx3071..

Ahh yes, the choice was made many years ago, it was a poor choice for the 3rd gen 3SGTE but it was the closest matching aftermarket turbo to the stock CT20B which was hard to source at the time. It's what I've had for years and hasn't blown so I will run with it for now and max it out completely.

I would recommend any of those GT30 or GTX30 series turbos as a good allround match to the ST205 engine.

To summarise the shortfalls of the White car, and things being addressed in the new car

- Body getting old has taken a beating, tremendous learning tool for me since age 24 now 31, first turbo car

- Bushes all completely shot

- Power maxed at 200kw (wheels) due to 100% duty cycle of injectors & stock regulator.

- Wiring completely toast everywhere

- Cooling system to be improved as heat as been a past killer

- Bad choice of clutch kit ruined gearbox syncros so a new one is to be built with new bearings and syncros.

- So much unused Toyota crap left in the car, things that I needed to fix but never got round to doing. The new Celica is to be from the ground up everything I want and nothing I don't based on the rough experience I've had, no temporary fixes, etc.

Here is the last lot of pictures to bring us up to date

Hey guys.

Yes most definitely the Clutchmasters FX400 is something I wanted to talk about my experience with it.

Conclusion: Will never buy another one, gone back to Exedy

From day one (some time in 2011 when my original engine in white car blew head gasket) the Clutchmasters FX400 was impossible to disengage, it only had about 1/2 or 3/4 disengagement at full travel. the thrust bearing ended up blowing to a million pieces from having to overstroke it, and later inspection found there was nothing at all wrong with the travel like we thought, the FX400 kit is sprung too heavily for the strength of its construction, the fingers bent inwards instead of acting on the springs and release mechanisms.

Sweet, GT4 convertible. Would be a world first if Toyota didn't develop a GT4 convertible concept.

It will be interesting to see how you get it to line up and merge into what you;ve got

the start of the thread with the front wheel celica and the "Plus Z" thing is a cool little way to add pep to a grocery gogetter

really? you bumped a thread thats almost 6 years old!

ULTIMATE BUMP!
I've been talking to the builder of this baby.

running over 600bhp at just 1.3 bar boost at 2krpm with no Laaaaaaahhhhhhg biggrin.gif

Whats the point in all this can anyone tell me? in a celica??? is it some drag car or a rally/race car, what? If you want response AND big power at the same time are you really going to sacrifice upsetting the handling with all that weight in the already front heavy understeering plow throughing chassis for the sake of it? Would it not be smarter to adjust his engine management, mechanical tuning and his own driving to suit a big turbo setup?

Obviously this guy had more dollars than sense in trying to twin charge a celica. It wont help him drive faster around a circuit, the response isnt needed for a drag race when you have a clutch to drop.

All im saying is... you gotta be nuts to wanna build this car... not saying it isnt gonna be stupidly fast, and loose on those 4 wheels, but i see it could be achieved better with more conventional ways

with the sort of money invested in that car, wouldnt you rather see some next level antilag?

and by anti lag i mean the one with the external combustion chamber and the fancy jet turbine engine sh*t that keeps ur turbo spooled whatever whenever,

not the sh*tty little rev limiter bang bang trick

-3 is for ballbearings, the stock hard line is bigger than -4. its actually a good idea, the kink in the hard line is what cokes up and starves turbos and kills them
