Thanks for the speedy response guys. I hear you on the new qatar but man I cringe at the thought of $155.00 out the door. Being that I am currently spending $250 a week in gas I really need my car back and the $155 is a bargain. Never hurts to weigh options though.

My hub is worn out and I can't find a replacement other than a $150.00 one? Is there another car I can source one from? I have a 1996 gt. I appreciate the help in advance!!!

Hey, Gals and Guys Merry Christmas. I have been working with this hybrid resin for about 4 months now. It has some excellent qualities, that surpass Epoxy and Polyester resin. It has great abrasion resistance, great flex, and it has wonderful impact resistance. We make parts that we test by throwing in the air and letting them hit the floor no chipping or cracking. Carbon absorbs it way better than it does epoxy. I think it would be great on kits and hoods I just need to get a test piece. It also is a vacuum infusion resin. Let me know what ya got just the houston people for now (this is only a test).

Thanks for that information it will help alot. Thats if I am competent enough to use it. I just need it to hold out until January, thats when my wife said I can get a new car. At that point I can park it and go through the whole car from bumper to bumper. She still doesn't understand why I like the car so much. Any way I am going to systematically try to weed out the problem starting from the low to high price wish me luck.

I have had 3 engines in my car in the past 2 months. I have changed plugs wires and going to change cap and rotor tomorrow and I have gotten the same code on all 3 motors #2 cylinder misfire. Now The injectors have been changed only thing I have not changed is the harness and the ecu. Has anyone else had this problem?

Had the same problem kept pulling distributor, checking cam setting checking crank pulley. I just couldn't figure it out. The book didn't help I did accomplish a lvl of frustration I never had before. I thought I worked it out took it to work and it lost power and started knocking. So I had a 97 engine put in it. It ran a few days lost power started knocking but idled just fine. So now its back at shop getting another motor put in it an I am even more frustrateed. I would suggest if you can't get advice from 6gc take it to a reputable toyo mech.

My 5sfe head is shot I currently have 188,+++ on my engine so I am getting another 5sfe with about 85,000 to replace it. I I have about as much time as I have millions of $ none basically. So my point is I want to estimate how much time it would take for me to do it, compared to dropping it off to a shop. My wife thinks it would be better for me to do it to save money along with painting crap in the house installing this an that building a patio and working at my regular job. Then she says well sell it an get a new care thats when we had a falling out lol.

If you don't wanna use bondo outline the hole about a hlf inch around then grind from the outline in knife edging it. then take some tape cover it up from the front.get some greatstuff foam crack sealer from walmart spray a lil in the inner part let cure. Once it is cure remove tape and clean area. Sand the foam down abit below your knife edged hole, then apply about 5 or 6 layers of glass. i don't know part thickness or what weight of glass your using. Just apply enough to be above actual part. Now take some packing tape and tape over the repair before it cures. Now when it cure sand to shape and sand the great stuff out. Voila if you want to reinforce it a little from the back you can. I hate when people use bondo it cracks easily glass has more flex. Also not to much catalyst it makes resin to hot and brittle. Slow cure is the best cure.

I am the father of 4 girls. 16-15-9-8, and I pop blood vessels at the thought of something like that. I love children they a breathe of fresh air when things seem tuff. I watch mine and remember simpler times other than bills, deadlines etc... When someone commits an act like that to a child they in a sense still there life, all innocents is gone replaced with turmoil and confusion. Thats worst than death cause they have to live with it grow up with it. The fact that some low life sick individual has stolen from them it is not obtainable it's gone (innocence) I personally feel that death is to good and life in prison is no better, cause with life in prison thats just another mouth for society to feed with tax money and our future social security witch is a joke. I vote remove there tools with a rusty knife and drop them off on and island some where but seriously, what do you do other than death? See to me a pedophile is not curable, there is no treatment. I remember when they would put dogs to sleep when they bite people cause they had the taste of human blood (what I was told anyway) well its no diffrent to me I think that after someone who's sick enough to consider it, follows through with it they are done lost. So I have to agree with death. I watch my daughter's like a Hawk, because I care. If this did ever happen to one of them I will start out with the individuals family and work my way to him but they would not be dead just suffuring from loss of many body parts and close family members.

Okay maybe I'll have it painted by then also. I am tired of my wife calling it a two toned grey ghost lol. Then taking off in it like she's going to indy. She also states consistently that my celi isn't faster than here 91 intergra ls she had. Which by the way for you guys in Houston who remember that big flood afew years back in like 02 or 03 I ran it through like 5 feet of water and hydro locked. I did like that lil bastard alot though oh well I luv me celi even more anyway keep me updated and whom ever is here Houston with a fast cel show up at Baytown and rep 6gc tonite.

Hey everyone sorry haven't commented I have been so busy I barely see my kids and wife well up and awake anyway. I regret o say i cannot make the meet. My wife has temporarily grounded my car until I pass it thru inspection. It was due last month but as I said I have been busy, so I took it thru Monday and it failed. I need 2 new low beam headlight assemblies. The ones that are on have had a small hole in it and the dealership where I bought the car had plugged them with epoxy. Needless to say last time I went to a pick apart there was no 6g's in the whole place. I only saw one before in the salvage yard and that 1 was so smashed it wasn't funny. So I have to go on a hunt this weekend or dump a couple hundred on ebay somewhere. I will be in baytown Friday night for the import verses domestic races pray it doesn't rain.

So it would be nice to see one of you rep a 6gc. wink.gif Any way the sealy track isn't far from where I work. I don't know exactly how far away my wife will allow me to go being I am the cook here at home she pays the bills lol (no smart remarks lol ) anyway I'll read thru again and find out. I still wanna meet the houston crew.

No as long as you have everything drawn and plannned. I always say that when you go into a project or anything for that matter how you start will determine how you finish. And one thing with doing fiberglass it's like drawing a picture you have to see it finished before you even start other wise you have no general direction and can end up pissing in the wind.

Starting small is always a good idea lol. I would suggest copying afew small things that are easy to replace. Like the tweeter pods on your doors, I made molds of them and made carbon ones. I have a big box of carbon we where throwing out at work cause we had a iso inspection and the lot numbers where outdated. Talk about right place right time lol. Fiberglass is easy to work with i've been working with it for almost 10yrs as a career and I said it then and will say it now,"if I can do it a trained monkey can" just need a lil artistic ability and every1 has that. Have fun with it tho. I want to do more on my car but have to wait, I am a nfs carbon freak so I will get all my ideas from that. My wife has placed my spending on a slim fast diet until we get moved into the new house which won't be built or 4 months. I tell her that she really has her priorities all backwards, Celi then house but she won't hear it lol. Have fun tho.

Oh yeah another good point from dman, the styrene in the resin is nothing short of a free buzz where a vapor mask. Also if sanding the glass or grinding use a crap load of baby powder on any body part exposed. Exspecially your neck, it will clog your pores which keeps the itchy glass dust out. And you'll smell baby fresh.
