I don't think I am going to be able to attend. /sadface

My family (mostly the guys) is going out of a fishing trip on a boat tomorrow. I originally wasn't going to go, but they (my cousin and step-brother) talked me into it. We only do this trip once a year and I never go.

Hopefully we can I can come to the next me. I wish I could do both. And perhaps I can just meet up with you guys after the boat comes back in.

Hi everyone. I am new to the forums. Pretty much new to 6gen Celicas as well. Its the first car that I have ever had an real interest in playing around with. I have big plans for it after I get rid of my wee little debt. Once my debt is out of the way I will have plenty of resources to play with my new project.

I have had the car since September last year. However, I recently got serious about working on it and plan to one day have it completely tricked out to where there is virtually nothing stock on it.

Its got a lot of miles on it, so I am going to have to swap engines as a first mod. Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated as I said before, I am new and don't know a whole lot. I am excited to learn, and look forward to meeting you all. =)

That was totally mean and had me down, I almost just left the thread without reading the rest of the message.

Anywho, upon posting here for the third time, I think I should, possibly, maybe, sorta, kinda introduce myself in general discussion, ne?

Btw, pics of my car are being put up right now. Also, I PMed Marco, but I think my PMing fails as there are no sent messages in my sent box. Oh well. I'll work it out somehow.

I haven't been researching as much as I should. The first thing I did was walk into Super Autobacs and say, "I have never worked on a car before. I want to learn. I have a Celica. What should I do?" They told me to slap a turbo on it, until I told them that my car was pushing 170k miles.Then they said I was going to have to swap it out. After doing the little research I have done, I feel like that would be better anyhow. Right now they are doing some research for me to try and find something suitable for what I want for me car.

I don't have anything set in stone, so I have plenty of time to brainstorm still. I am hoping to get some good ideas from everyone at the meet.

Not to mention, at the momment I owe quite a bit of money. So I won't be able to pay for any of what I want to do for a couple months. But if I have a plan and know exactly what I want to do, things will go smooth and fast and I will have my car done quick. Hopefully it'll ride quick too.

I am going to be bringing a friend. She loves cars, but is knewer to actually working on them than I am. It'll be a good learning experience for the both of us.

Just out of curiosity, where exactly is Marco's house? I'm new to the forums, but if there is a cali meet I would love to try and go. I figure since it's a SoCal meet I will be able to go. =)

I looked up Scandia and found three in Cali, I am assuming its not the one in Sacramento. Lol.

I dunno about commuting for meets though. My car has got a ****load of miles on it as it is. So until I swap, I won't be able to travel too far for meets.

I am glad to know that there are quite a few so cal people here on the forums. Because I am going to need lots of help. Haha. =)

I found Marco, and now that I know the general area he lives in, I am pretty much down to go. I drive to that area all the time.
