There is someone I am trying to work with that owns a 298hp 7afe turbo engine running on the stock rods with 4agze pistons. His car is amazing and its running 12 seconds in the quarter mile and sounds very good too. I am going to build this setup and hopefully with his help. I just recently found this on the web I will post my progress on my thread.

well if I am not mistaken of between the the 4a, and 3sgte the 7a is the engine that will create the most torque. At 9 psi it has 190hp and 180tq compared to the 3sgte 200hp to 140tq. It looks like you are getting close to what the 3s swap would cost but you might be better off with the 7a since the fun factor might be higher... if it all goes well that is.

Good luck

wow this is great maybe i can keep the 7a after all, what about the pistons will the 7a pistons handle the boost or do the 7agze pistons fit right on the rods?

I am going to have to do some research on this I may buy!

Also why dont you just swap in the same motor? You have a 5sfe right and those motor cost less than the 7afe you should be able to find one for 5 or $600. I have seen 5s engines with 250 hp and huge torque numbers and if you just received your turbo why not finish it?

Regardless if you know how to do some of this work yourself you should have the car running for around the $750 or more it is going to cost you to get the civic on the road.
