I've driven a couple n/a 3sge's and I think they lack torque downlow compared to a 5sfe but they love singing to redline unlike the 5sfe, Id love to drive a beams.

This car still is one of my favourite on the forums, It's too bad you don't live nearby so we could have a VVT-i vs VTEC race haha.

Yeah they are good cars, my main problems in 3 years were wheel bearing related and a couple other little things, took it to near redline daily at 280k and had NO engine problems.

Auto transmissions don't like turbo's, it could be the solenoids but most likely not, get a manual wink.gif.

LOL this thread makes me laugh, I had a celica and my name is Josh M too lmao. That car you looked at did it have high km and was it aqua, the descriptions sounds alot like my old celica that I tracked HAHA. Otherwise I have a few other ideas whos it could be tongue.gif.

Nice car too! have fun with it, these things just don't die!

Just like every car mitsubishi has quite alot of unreliable cars but some of their cars go forever, they're better at reliable economy cars imo tongue.gif

wasn't going to mod this car but got a couple little goodies since last photos, too bad its this shiny and being undrivable cause of a stupid harmonic balancer frown.gif fkn cars.

Thats weird! you sure the monroe struts are the same size, TRD springs are not much lower than stock so should be a snug fit. Bump stops won't make noises they just stop the car from bottoming out, Id put money on it that its something related to the spring moving, defs have the the 2 rubbers on each spring end, bit inbetween strut mount and bearing? I forget how the rear was setup.

Yeah they're not great for boost but its more the high compression, any high powered n/a isn't going to last long with a turbo. But cams and a couple little mods would see 20-30kw gains.

simon It's putting out 20psi of vtec laugh.gif

too bad celicas didn't bring out enough st205's for them to be cheap over here or any st202 and I might of gone back to a celica for something reliable, the 5sfe is just too dam slow.

and yes it has vtec lol.

I had a few problems like this when I had my celica and I rebuild the caliper and it did nothing, the slider pins were still shiny and i relubricated which did nothing, in the end new pads seemed to fix the problem but that could be due to the fact they were better although I would of thought they'd brake harder but still lock up on one side but it was perfect after!

Before I sold it realized the rear discs had a lip so it could of been that also.

My point here is there is alot of things it could be and its one of those things that you're gonna have to replace alot to get to, I suggest just popping the pistons out and giving them a light sand with LIGHT sand paper and a clean providing your discs aren't warped and your pads are even, I know I had alot of trouble getting rebuild kits here but if you can get them for cheap then start there! its easy.
