The AZ sun finely killed the old paint.....

So a paint job was in order......still needs to be color sanded and buffed but looking good.

I would buy a 97 green Celica, Mr2 or Tundra to match my 96 Supra.

Is this really a standard seat?

(IMO, get some seat covers kindasad.gif ) I'm not being mean, the rest of the car looks beautiful!! Really does biggrin.gif

But those seats cwm13.gif

Yea, those are Toyota seat covers. My 96 has"disco" type seats. They are not ripped up so I will leave them alone for now. They do say Celica on them that don't look bad.

Let me clear up something is about your post. First we were pushing our grocery cart to the truck that was parked a few cars down from your Celica. As we walked by I looked in the window (never touched the car) to see if it was an auto or not. You got all worked up about 5’2” women standing next to your car in a busy Safeway parking lot by repeatedly chirping your car alarm rolleyes.gif . I asked if you were interested in selling your car and complimented you about the color. You asked why I was interested and I explained that I would like a green Celica to match the Supra since my Celica is red. Not sure, what the negative comments are you are talking about. Only things I can think of is that when you were asking how to fix the extremely weather-beaten clear coat my husband said there is no clear coat left to buff out. Sorry if you took this the wrong way but it is a fact. When you started talking the mechanics of doing a 3s-gte swap my husband pointed it out it is very expensive to do and a ST is even worse because of the engine and motor mount issues and the transmission issues. And we asked why not just turbo the 7A-FE You seemed confused about turbos and started rambling about putting a Subrau engine in and you could buy a real GT-4 for $5000 or under( please post that source, I am sure everyone here will take two!). Also, you were bragging about your car being a Limited 25th Anniversary Edition. I tried to explain that Limited Edition and the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition are not the same. I was trying to explain that my 96 is a 25th Anniversary Limited Edition and that yours is a 97 Limited Edition. That is why yours is green. Sorry you took this the wrong way but it is just a fact. Maybe if you were a little more knowledgeable about cars then maybe you could have understood what we were saying and not assume everything is negative criticism. Obviously you are new to the car scene in Tucson otherwise you would have known our reputation with doing domestic and import performance upgrades and engine swaps over the past 25 year ( longer then you have been alive) . Not to mention all the track time we each have with our own individual cars.

BTW, next time I would like my groceries double bagged!!!! owned.gif

Hey everyone,

I've been looking about the forums, because I wanted to know how to wax a car properly (still don't know how, so if you want to answer please do)

Soul

best online video on how to wax and sand a car

This video should help you with both your waxing and sanding your clear coat.
There is also some tips on painting. This may help the waxing and sanding don't fix the problem. Good Luck!
