hmm sound like a lot of issue um if you think it the water pump to the left of the thermostat there a hole it called a weep hole check to see if there any sign of coolant coming out of there is a small hole that will tell you if your water pump is junk. The fan should kick on when the engine reach 175 degree F, I know this sound like a funny question but did you use mix the coolant 50/50 that is 50% water and 50 % coolant. Fan 2 I believe is for the a/c and fan one is your rad fan. Well your not going to see the coolant move around. Also check to see if the anything is block the a/c condensor. When does it overheat in the driveway? while your driven down the road? |

anything from the rear cat and forward has to be carb legal. If it has no o2 sensor hole for you to put the sensor then it not street legal. Mean get pulled over and they don't have carb number you going to have to pay the fine. Maybe not for celica we won't find one like I said I will do more research on those headers. they are out there carb # for street legal. |

sorry force of habit just say that.if you read the person say they want to do the time belt them selfs. well doing it yourself you would need a compressor to take off the harmonic balancer so yea if you don't have the right tools don't do it. off topic: i will talk to them I know I talk to batman a fewtimes here but I will get in touch with them. Always good to know celica fans that are local. |

if it has a o2 sensor it will have a carb number. Anything from the cat and back made for street use has to have a carb number. If no o2 port no carb Ri is very strict mass and RI are the two most strict state beside califoronia being the worst. I might give them a call to see if can email me a real photo because headers with carb # should be able to go on stock exhaust. yea sorry gt one I will do more reasearch and find out more about it. |

I am going to try and add my input a little bit from what I been reading you said you raditor fan is not coming on did you check the fan relay to see if it working right? I only read this first page but I would check your temp sensor and see if working right if coolant is leave the raditor it going somewhere bad. here idea check the coolant in the raditor and while the car running squezze the hoses not hard but easy and see what happens. I think you said you replace you theromstat right? I also read there are no leaks anywhere. Have you check you water pump? to see if it's leaking out of the spit hole I call it? if so you would need to replace that. Also have you replace the rad cap? my I ask what kind of coolant are you useing. I work on toyota for 10 years so I think I everyone has given you all the information. If you want to send me a pm of what you done so far and it seem like you been throw parts at it left and right. Give me a pm if you want and I will try and help you out with your problem. |

her a silly question is your overdrive on or off that would make a difference on rpms, also I would check the timing to make sure it right. I have 95 auto gt it goes way above 3000 rpms. when I am cruise about 75 or 80 it below 3000 rpm. check all the rountain stuff like spark plugs all that good stuff. Is there a check engine light on? Does it run rough like the other member said? |

I am sure you can either go after market or oem but I am oem guy. I would look up the vin number but from what I can see from these talks it. I can't tell you the number but I am sure if you go to your local toyota dealer they can look it up for you. I would go with the dark knight batman and follow up with toyota site |

I would say replace the timing belt if there not sticker near the time cover saying it been done. Also while your in there you might want to change some seals they are camshaft seal, oil pump seal, there that spider looking one. Someone can quote the right names for them but I replace them when I do the timing belt so I don't have to go in there later and replace them. I also check the water pump to if it never been done I would check it out. Here my take buy them from toyota dealer they last longer then Aftermarket and I personal have done the test on customers cars who brough me aftermarket belts to do. the drive belts which are the ones broken in your photo that up to you I would still get Oem I scene toyota timing belts last about 100,000 or more not being replace. After market I scene go less. |

Forged the Pistion yea if the thing has like more then 100 thousand miles and you beat the hell out of the car. Come give toyota credit on there pistions if you use nos the wrong way yes you will forged the pistion and lock up the motor. If you do your research and good idea to spent a few hunderd on a rebuilt kit and tune the ECU and do a few update then it will work. Stock Toyota and depend on the miles then yea I would say keep a used motor handy I don't know who working on it. I been working on toyota for ten years and I scene corolla with nos in them I even saw a tercel. I say do you research ask some tuners in your area and get the word on there opinion. |

it would not blow the motor that old say people say about celica. if you install it right and know what your doing and don't say oh let me use the whole bottle in on try. Then yea it will work wonders. I would not do this on a celica that has alot of miles on it and has leaks and motor issues. Nos can but use on any car but if you don't know what your doing don't do it yourself you will break something or worse. I think it worth the money better they try to buy a turbo charge kit for 3 or 4 grand. this is my opinion but nos can can be used if use by the right person. |

Iridium is good plug but you can't play with the gap on them you get what you get. I heard lots of people happy with Iridium plugs just to much money I think for my wallet when copper I can change every 4000 and adjust the gap. |

Have you try putting a cap on your sound system buy a bigger ALT will help but then your going to need a stronger batter to support the amount the alt can handle. I installed sound system on the side for a long time so I would go that way first. If the ALT still give you trouble then your ALT is read to crap the bed if you have a Volt meter check the car while running and see if your getting any ac voltage to the battery and see how much juice the ALT is draining, check dv voltage too. Could be also your battery not getting enough juice. Alt job is to make the battery not run while the car is running and if the Alt is taking power from the batter I don't think a stronger cable or fuse would make a different I am not sure what the big 3 is but try my idea first before invest money out the door or play smoke geniue which will cost even more money. |

Yes please do that kind of wrong and I don't think you failed Emissons because of a cold intake issue. it would not cause hc and co to go up and produce noxs I run five gases at school everyday and everyone use cold airintake. Oem intake suck because they are a cheap made the rubber air hose make it for the air to trave down the hose. IF you notice when you hit the trottle the hose bents and moves. Just put the intake in the right way and make sure the IAT is put in with the hose lots of people forget that. |

ok I am going to take a wild guess at this that it could be the small air box on the botton of the oringal intake hose before it reach the airbox it has clamps that hold the cruise control and throttle. It honstly do not do much I think it just store extra air that about it no big thing. |
