I have jacked it up, there are all sorts of obstacles in removing it. I'm thinking I'm just going to remove things until I have a clear path for the pan, but I was just curious if there was a better way.

I need to replace my oil pan Gasket. How would I go about removing the oil pan? has a write up been made for this? Because I see in a lot of different sites that I'm going to have to jack up the engine. Is there another way?

Thank you, I've been jumping from one conclusion to the next on what was the problem. This helps a lot.

batman what did you use to remove the bushings? Because I've been reading that I'm going to need a hydraulic press. Are they really that difficult to remove?

so the problem is that the control arm bushings are gone and I can't find anywhere I can buy them. I've been looking around online and can't find them. I checked with the dealer and all they will sell me is the whole control arm. Any idea where I can get these bushings?

yeah I just noticed it is the lower ball joint which is messed up. i found where to buy it so this topic can be closed now.

I have been hearing this rattling sound coming from both wheels. I have been told that perhaps this sound is coming from a problem with my bushings but after a quick inspection they don't seem to be the problem. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? Take into account that my suspension in the front is shot

25 mph for the gt, yeah I know it's slow but you get some serious miles to the gallon there. I forgot where I read that, don't quote me on it.

O well it's almost closed and everything is pretty straight, but I figured I'm just going to give in. Damn so it's at the mechanic today.

Alright cleaned out my throttle body and reconnected that hose. By doing this I raised the idle to 3k............ so I'm starting to think maybe it's the tps.

I've found one torn hose, it's supposed to be connected to the charcoal canister.. A friend told me that I should clean out my Egr valve, that that may have something to do with it.

Whenever I turn my car on the rpm's are at 2 and they'll stay there, if I brake hard they may start going up and down between one and two thousand. Any ideas anybody?

Yeah it was the mk3, but I checked it out and the engines a mess, guy won't tell me what's wrong. I suggested maybe it was the head gasket he just shrugged his shoulders and said maybe. He also said he'd throw in another 7mge, didn't really convince me. I guess I'll keep looking for a 3sgte to swap in, just need to come by an all-trac. Hey now that importing the gt4 to Canada is legal, how much do you guys think it would run to get one of these?

So I've been playing with the idea of going turbo with my 5sfe, or swapping for a 3sgte. I found a totaled all-trac which would have been perfect for either one, but after many failed attempts at trying to contact the man selling it I decided to give up on that I found a supra turbo, I was just looking for some opinions on whether or not I should get a supra turbo or just turbo my celi.

yeah Rotary is nice and the 3s nice too. Before I can do any swap i need money lol. I was actually thinking for a while about selling my celi for a bit. Found a nice 2nd gen rx7 with a jdm engine swap several upgrades and stock turbo. So yeah, but I'm happy with the celica now just don't like the current lack of power and that it is a front wheel drive.

I have no problem with the 3sgte. Excellent engine, great power and tiny. I was just thinking outloud, yeah I still need to save up some money to buy a front clip then I can really start messing around with car seeing as the 5sfe is a boring engine. Yes of course things can be done to it so that it can gain more power but why spend that money there when one can swap in a more power friendly engine this being the 3sgte. One last thing to add, the rotary engines just sound sick as hell, yes problems may pop up but with care you shouldn't encounter anything as is with most cars. Not the 5sfe because that engine can take all the abuse you can give it. Shoot I've been off-roading with that car more times than I can count on both hands. Keeping those rpm's hig. My mother drove her camry (same engine) for two weeks with no oil . Toyota's simply amazing machines. by the way what other cheap engine swaps should I take into consideration?
