So in the end it depends on reliability and plans for the future. Personally I would love to turbo the 5s which I have, fortunately I have the time and more than enough other vehicles to tide me over during the process.

5 - 10 psi, great.

As Syaoran said:

"You can get away with a very basic 5SFTE setup with OEM turbo kit and a couple other things but eventually you'll regret not doing 3SGTE. It's a lot less user-involved doing the swap."

Is the 5s I plan on.

Surely would you see performance gains by balancing the assembly? Or is it mainly a durability thing.

There is a big post by Syaoran on building the head including info about valves. I found it quite interesting.

Make sure the fuel pump is in properly, if its not then it will cause obvious things like this. Re-seat it and dont 'reset the air/fuel ratio.'

Tried to jump the motor last nite too. Left it with jumper cables on for a good long AGES and still no signs of life at all. I have checked all of the fuses in the drivers side compartment and in the engine bay that I can think of and they seem to be fine.

EFI Relay, hmm would that cause no signs of life at all?

Hey guys, went to go home from work today, put key in the ignition, turned it, nothing, no radio, no dashboard lights, nothing.. Try to crank, its like I havent even touched the ignition, the key turns fine but its like the car is absolutely dead. No starter click nothing at all!

External lights work fine, inside lights, brake lights all that work sweet as.

Its almost like the car doesn't have a motor or any accessories connected to the ignition. Checked all fuses and they look fine. Ignition relay perhaps...? Where would I find this?

Thanks...

for the price you would pay for the motor and fitting, replacing parts etc, why don't you just buy a run about for the time being? I mean, you said its only being used for a delivery car, meanwhile if you are a fan of the Celica, save up for an upgrade (3sge) or direct replacement 5s motor?

Tow it.

Heh.

That is really vague. It depends on whats happening with it, what is happening when trying to crank it. Parts missing? Faulty parts...?

Yeah I had to get my ECU fixed one time, pretty cheap and easy to trace on the circuit board given how basic they are. Could actually see the solder smear. Even after all of the toyota dudes saying 'nah the ecu/ecm is BULLET PROOF' pssh

I don't see what the big deal with import laws is. If it's safe in Japan it's safe enough anywhere else. As long as it has the proper headlamps who gives a fück.

The lightings a little different id say its a bit later in the day, maybe like, the suns starting to come down a bit and slightly less overcast, the ground looks a little drier now, possibly you moved the car forward a bit and someone has parked in the top right. Photos taken from about a 45o angle, a bit lower than the previous shot.

And the strut bar no longer has rust.

Good thing you don't need a title to register cars, in some states, after they are so many years old! Just need a bill of sale.
I'd totally take this if I had the money

Even in those states you'd have to wait until it was over 25 years old to register it. I just don't trust buying a car without a title, my luck it'd be stolen.

it is 25 years old

Not a fan myself so I would say nay. Seems a bit intense for the size of the wheel, but thats just my opinion. I think wheels look best with a pretty neutral colour though.

Whoa, been fairly inactive lately or would have checked in right away. Theres so many Celicas out there, well atleast there is in Auckland. Really need to spread the word more about this site, I'm sure everyone could find use for it in one way or another. Maybe have to print out some flyers.

Looks like my Celi is the slowest listed hahaha.

Yeah.. Entirely my opinion but race stripes on just about any car apart from maybe american muscle looks tacky and try-hard. Not trying to put anyone else down who likes them, just not a fan myself... So I say don't do it, the Celica has alot of grace to uphold.

I think its more than the fans if its spraying coolant mate! hahaha, you'll need to be checking everywhere for cracks in the rad, check the hoses are strapped on proper, no splits and change the radiator cap. Idle the car with the bonnet open and have a look!!!! Just dont get burnt
