Hi,

my friend tried to install DEI 530t to my celica st202 but we encountered to some problems.

After connecting everything, module works but only when driver doors are opened (I can operate windows up and down). When driver closes his door, module doesn't work.

He connected it like this:

driver side down: switch red wire - 530T white wire, 530T blue to motor
driver side up: switch green wire - 530T brown wire, 530T green to motor
passenger side down: switch red/blue wire - 530T white/black wire, 530T green/black to motor
passenger side up: switch green/white wire - 530T brown/black wire, 530T blue/black to motor
530T red (fused) direct to battery
530T black, violet, violet/black direct to chassis

This is manual that he used to connect this module:

Has someone encountered problem like this?

Hi,

as title said Koni yellow (adjustable stiffness; with original shock housing) + eibach prokit are still on the car and I wanna trade them for JDM projectors (all options all possible so let me know).

I'll get pictures in few days.

PM me for further question.

Hi,

I'm still looking for my new alloys. I don't want classic silver rims so I'm looking into other options.

Size would be 16", with 205/50 tires because I think I'll lose lot of comfort with 17"wheels.

These are wheels that I like:

AEZ Tidore

Ultraleggera Matt Black

They also have Ultraleggera graphit option but only in 17" size kindasad.gif

I'm in dilemma so any advice, opinion or pictures of celi with similar color combinations would help.

Tnx

Hi,

I plan to upgrade my alloys and tires to 17". Right now Celi is lowered 1" on Tanabe NF210, and setup is stock 15" alloys with 195/60R15 tires.

I plan to upgrade this to 17x7.5J ET35. My concern is rubbing. I've used tire calculator and searched this forum and come to conclusion that 215/45R17 should be right option. I'm afraid that 225/45 might rub because NF210 springs are soft almost as stock, so there is much more bottoming than stiffer springs like eibach and tein.

Does someone has some word of experience because new tires and alloys cost lot of money, and I want to choose right option.

Tnx

Croatian roads are bad so often I get loud bangs over potholes (i think shock is hitting bump stop).
Eibach pro-kit is currently on the car and was installed by previous owner, but ride is rough, bouncy, so I'm planning on installing new springs.

I would like something that is more comfortable but also lowered; I've found tanabe nf210 with near stock spring ratio, but I see everyone recommends tein s-techs but their spring rate is almost 40% bigger than stock.

Can someone who has tanabe or tein installed post their experience comparing to stock springs, because I've prokit to compare and they are bad (I think previous owner has cut springs some more to lower car).

Hi,

currently I've koni sport installed with eibach prokit, but I think that previous owner has cut front springs because drop is more than 1 inch. So, problem is that front konis are gone. Front struts are now gone, ride is bouncy, and on big potholes car makes big noise, like strut is hitting bumb stop.

So I'm planning on investing in new struts and new springs. Springs will be tein stechs or vogltland, maybe tanabe?.

So question is should I buy all four kayaba agx struts or just front koni yellow (current on my car are actually black ?!) and put them on new springs?

As always, money is very important, so new front koni struts are my first pick but i'm I don't want them gone again kindasad.gif

All advices are appreciated smile.gif

there is no way that in 1998 they would have a Carlos Sainz edition st202.
All CS editions were on the st185s, not the 6 gens.
Not even the st205 were called Carlos Sainz editions, they were called WRCs and they have their own badge.

The plate was put there by someone who thought it was cool. That's all.

for you doubters, i did a bit of reserch and this is one of the things i found. Seems they were indeed a itallian limited edition of 202's.

italian forum link

didnt do a translation, you dont need to, with my very very limited italian i can work out what that dude is talking about.

Very very interesting, i wonder how many other special edition models we dont know about exists.

case closed.

Cuts,

great find, could someone translate in short what is included in this edition wink.gif

I've found this

autoscout.it

Mine is same (color etc.), but mine has leather seats.

Apparently this was limited edition for Italian market. I've googled Italian forums and found few informations.
It included sparco pedals and that plate.

Yeah I'd like to know what you have in your ST202, does that mean Euro GT ? 3S-GE? Is it beams? 1998 JDM ST202 got 3S-GE Beams for SS-II+ (Equiv to Euro GT)

I notice leather seats, do you have superstrut suspension?

It is regular 3S-GE, no superstrut. I've attached VIN picture. More pictures later...
Car was imported from Italy, so maybe Toyota had some special edition for their market.

I wasn't aware that there is a CS version of the ST202? I thought the CS's were all special editions of the ST185 GT4's?

maybe previous owner took that plate from ST185 smile.gif
