$230 for custom install??? WTH?!? For header back 2.25 piping, magnaflow resonator, and muffler + deleting the post cat was only $90. The muffler was $50 used and the resonator was $31.88 (I think) for $171.88 I got a full custom exhuast excluding a header.

Maybe it's cause I live way down south. (I ain't talking bout hell I'm talking bout Mississippi) I guess everything is just cheap down hear. and the shop doesn't charge taxes, he gives you a quote and thats what you pay.

I don't really want to buy an ebay header for my car. I'm not looking for power gain really. I have the stock manifold on the car, pre-cat and down pipe. From the downpipe back it's 2.25 piping to a 12' resonator going to a ractive canist. I absolutlly love the way my car sounds. it's not raspy or high pitched. It has an amazing deep throaty roar. People give me compliments on the way my car sounds all the time, when i get on it it sounds like a beast. But it just isn't loud enough

I want my exhaust to be louder but maintain the same sound. I just don't want to to be hideous loud.

I was told to just take the pre-cat off and gut it and put it back on.

So my question(s) are would this throw any sensors? and would it help the volume of the sound? I kind of need a fast response b/c i planned on doing this tomorrow morning. So any input will be greatly appreciated.

If your wanting to build your own CAI for the St celica this is helpful, or it was to me. My friend had a 1990 honda hatch and sold it. he gave me the CAI for it. all that is needed to get it to fit the Celica is cut a foot exactly off the filter end of it and it fits right in and the filter head is about an 1-2 inches away from the side where the stock air box went. You also have to make a hole for the sensor to go in. that all. Mine is a 3 inch pipe and between 3-5 grand when you get on it you can hear it roar. it sounds amazing. It's cheap, easy to customize, and sounds great. Someone may have already figured this out, but i'm in class right now and finished with all my work and it won't let me search for it. so sorry if its already been done.

a friend and I got into a discussion the other day. I am just wondering if anyone here could shed some light on this. my friend just bought a 93 gts celica I have a celica st and my other friend has a 04 corolla with the 1zz. we were wondering which car is faster? like off the line or even long run. the gts is stock and my st and the corolla only have a cai exhaust and suspension. all three are 5 speed. we don't really wanna race to fine out. so can anyone answer this?

Sorry. Just text my friend, it wasn't the stock turbo, they upgraded than sold the car, than the guy who had it swapped it again. it's a little smaller than a CT-26.

I'll try and find out what size it is soon, I know it is factory though, but i know now it didn't come on a 3sgte.

Anyways, i'm not looking for something to take to the track or race every day, just something that is fun to drive, ya kno? like i said i'm not looking to have that much power.

But thanks for the answers. If it really isn't worth it, (got everything quoted today done right, is a little under $900 and money is kinda tight around here right now.) than i'll look into a different turbo.

Okay so my friend is a mr2 whack, and has just sold a mkII 91. He kept the turbo.

I was wanting to buy a blacktop, but i can get the turbo for $100 with the wastegate.

I'm seriously considering this. I just want to know would there be to much turbo lag?? (stock turbo off a 3sgte) A friend owes me a favor so I can get an intercooler and piping for free.

I know I need the following:
Turbo
Wastegate
Intercooler
Piping
Tapped Oilpan
Injecters
Fuel pump
Turbo manifold
ECU
Custom exhaust work

I feel as if i'm forgetting something so if i am let me know.

My question is would stock psi (7psi) be safe fore my 7afe. It has less than 65,000 miles on it.
I can get all of this done and tuned for less than $1200 b/c of the deals i've ran across and plan on installing it myself.
Any help you may have is appreciated. I'm not looking for anything pretty under the hood, just something reliable and fun.

I don't really want A LOT of power, maybe 140-180 at most at the flywheel. Just something thats a fun DD.

Hi everyone. This summer I plan to put a Blacktop 4age woot.gif in my 94 Celica St. I don't want a 3sgte/3sge/5sfe, so please don't tell me to. That is what most people here have done for swaps.. well so it seems. (besides my friends brother just bout a 91 Mr2 with a 3sgte in it, and OMG that thing is crazy fast. I love the engine but moneys gonna be tight and me+turbo= Serious trouble) I'm 18 and my parents don't dish out money. kindasad.gif kindasad.gif So i'm paying for this.

I have just a few questions though. What is all needed?

I know this much already:
Engine
Wiring Harness
ECU
and get someone to do the wiring

Anything else?

I plan to just use my tranny b/c I'm still in school and i'm not going to the track or try to race someone 24/7, and if it ever went out i'd get another tranny. (i'm saying i'm not going to be romping on it all the time) I just want more power so I just know it's their and for bragging. I'd plan on putting it in myself with the help of a friend and his brother.

Basically how much would this run me for the necessities, and could you give me a price range for everything i need individually.

I'd greatly appreciate it. thumbsup.gif

lol, i just read what i've been saying, I think i know what your getting at. lol It's not like I am going to go out and steal everyone's cars. ( If that's hinting around what you meant) I'm 18 and have never even been outside the country better yet, the farthest I have ever been from Mississippi is Cali. It'd take way to long to do that. Plus I know how it feels to have something dear to you stolen. This is just a school project and any thing like your tag will be blurred and if there is a sign or anything that shows your address it will also be. LOL i'm not to good with wording things.

Need proof maybe??

Any questions yoiu have I'll gladly answer

I'm planning on putting your name next to everyones cars. (not ya'lls real names, but your name on 6gc unless you otherwise state it. I just don't want to use a picture of someone's car without their permission. Ya know?

oh lol, it isn't on the web yet. We use this Dreamweaver program now instead of writing out the coding, Anyways it isn't published yet. Like it isn't on the web yet. She said everyone's ig going to be but we have to finish first. So i don't have an URL until she post it. its due next week and the teacher is lazy... so no telling how many days it'll take her after everyone finishes theirs.

Good thought though. Making a website about something I love and something I know quite a bit about b/c of 6gc.

Ah.. lol I actually WAS like what the... I get confused to easily.

But, woah his car is smexy. I wish mine looked that good.

-Random thought ( If my car did look that good, i'd be like that commercial with tony stewart when he washed his Corvette and stood there all day staring at it, with the exception that i'd be drooling ha...)
