its cuz they don't figure out how bad hondas suck until after they blow their money on it, while at the same time getting killed by toyotas, so they decide to make a Toyonda.

that makes sense... rolleyes.gif

haha, it makes a lot of sense... more like a toyotda ... theres not much left of the honda... just a crappy frame

sorry but i'd take the looks of an S2000 over any model Celica any day of the week. U guys need to stop putting Celicas on a pedestal.

Don't get me wrong, s2000's look awsome, just not cool to have a honda with a toyota engine... I also like the look of miata's...although people missconstrude it as a "chick car"

well, toyota dealerships have them for like 30 bucks... and there is one pump.. I believe... do not go to autozone and buy the universal's... they dont fit, even though Napa and Autozone claims they do...

ooo how much you want for it? do i have to cut anything? pm me how much you want for it shipped. thanks!

no, cutting, they are direct bolt on, if i remember correctly, you will have to bend some fender, so the door can go up without scratching

and btw, title says 650shipped...which is worth it, ship will be about 40bucks

yes, one is heftier... blacktop is like a heavy duty version... but unless you are hammering the gas to the floor, you wont need it... Silvertop is the newer version and you have a better chance of getting one and rebuilding it (if you decide to) also, it has a different compression rating if I remember, Silvertop also has DOHC and its 20v... blacktop isnt... (I could be wrong)

Unfortunately you are wrong... =(

Blacktop 20V is newer, lighter, more revvy and more powerful than the silvertop 20V. Both are DOHC, blacktop has more compression, more cam and a better designed, better flowing head. The only thing the silvertop has that may be a benefit over the blacktop, is the bigger rods.

Anyways... everyone starts somewhere... although I don't really count in the question. I kinda grew up around mechanics so... yeah. Doing a swap and fixing cars is a skill ANYONE can learn. It's a matter of time investment and practical application.

so why choose silvertop over blackotp, bigger rods doesn't seem to have any effect on the power or how the engine feels...

That's what I thought you were talking about, hmm looks like I'll be washer shopping. Think I could take off that center nut without taking the strut back out of the car? Will be a few weeks till I can get it home and put it on the lift.

well, if you didnt tighten the nut all the way down then yes, if you did tighten it down all the way, no... and it will be a bitc* to remove it... I had to melt the plastc slip a little take a towel and wrap it around the strut so the strut insirt stops turning and had to unscrew it... was a bitc* of a time... took about 20 min each... then use the old nuts from th e stock suspension, as the ones you pulled off will have the melted plastic... good luck man, it was a pain to do it...

tim, its good practive to buy a heavy duty alternator when adding anything with 1000watt... you might not need it always, but do you want to get caught the day that it wont be able to keep up, and the day it dies because there was too much strain on it..
