V_D and Culp if you guys still have a set by the time my tax return check comes in I will be buying a couple thumbsup.gif

there is another guy in Hawaii who's interested on one panel 94ST204, I suggest you get all your orders together and split shipping, I haven't gotten the quote yet, but shipping to Hawaii is going to be a little pricey.

Capone, I'm still looking into your panel, is the only panel that hasn't been received, I'm working with the post office to solve this.

Thanks man, I'm glad to finally hear back. Let me know what's up.

Have any of you guys heard from Culpable lately? Its been over a month since I sent him the money to ship mine out, and I still haven't received it yet. I'm not trying to bad mouth him or anything, I'm just trying to find out whats going on.

So today, I was on a local car forum and came across a thread with a guy is selling his 70' datsun 521. I noticed the guy had a sort of unique user name, and his signature was promoting top gear USA. Turns out this guy is Rutledge Wood (the fat guy) from top gear USA, and not only is he an active member on that car forum, but he is also a moderator, and to top it all off, he lives in the same town as me. Now, I'm not the biggest fan of top gear USA, but I think its pretty cool that the guy is actually involved in the car world outside of the show.

This is my attempt at contributing to site which has helped me so much. I hope this info helps anyone who is planning on replacing the window weatherstripping in their doors. Good Luck!

*Usual Disclaimer*

Difficulty: Easy

Tools: Screwdrivers (Flathead and Phillips), New weather stripping

Here are pictures of the part numbers for the inner (interior), and outer (exterior) weather stripping:
These are the inner:

These are the outer:

1. Begin by opening the door and removing the door panel. Directions for this can be found here: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=50556 There is one other screw that has to be removed that I did not find mentioned in that how to, it is behind the door handle bezel.
Here is a picture of the inside of the door panel, I've circled what we'll be taking off and replacing:

2. Looking along the inside of the piece that I have circled you will see 10 little metal tabs. Pry these little tabs up with a flathead screwdriver to make them straight, and the old piece of weather stripping should come right out. (Note: it is easier to do this in a nicely lit area)

3. Once you have the old weatherstripping off you can replace it with the new one.The tabs on the new weatherstripping will have to by pried up like the old ones in order to replace it. After you have made the tabs on the new weatherstripping straight, line them up to the slits where the old ones went. Once all of the tabs go through the slits in the door panel, bend them flat. You have now finished replacing the inner weatherstripping.

4. To replace the outer weatherstripping with the door panel off, start by rolling down your window (if you have electric windows you'll have to reconnect the switch), the look down at the gap between sheet metal closest to where your outside door handle is, there will be one shiny metal clip with a plastic peg on the end. Lift up on the metal piece to remove the peg from its hole.
Here is the gap you should be looking in:

Here is the clip with the plastic peg on the end:

5. Once you have pulled the plastic peg out of its hole, the only thing left holding the outer weatherstrip to the car are a couple of plastic clips. Pull the weatherstrip straight up and it will come out. (I used a flathead screwdriver to pry it up. The plastic clips broke off the actual weatherstripping and stayed on the car when I did this, but they were really easy to get off. If you use a screwdriver to pry it off, be careful not to scratch your paint.)
Here is a picture of one of the clips:

6. Once you have the old weatherstripping out, replace it with the new one. The plastic clips fit into little slots on the door, and make sure the metal clip with the peg through it goes back into the hole.

7. Congratulations, you have finished replacing the weatherstripping in your door smile.gif . At this point you can reinstall your door panel, BUT if you are like me and your windows feel loose, or like the might fall out, every time you close the door with them half open, now is your chance to tighten them up! Directions for this can be found here: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...tening*++window

Meh, to me he still qualifies. It might not be slammed, or be a stick, but how many people can say they went from driving a 6gc, to buying a car of this caliber as their next car?

Today I got Yokohama S.drives installed on my car after finding out that I needed 2 new tires. frown.gif My old tires only had about 10,000 miles on them. Wish I woulda got an alignment immediately after putting my coil overs on, instead of waiting 2 months.... live and learn I guess. Also picked up $250 worth of parts from the dealership that needed to be replaced. Its been an expensive week. kindasad.gif
