Brakes are fine! Mr2 turbo front pads are perfect (again confirmed by the 3rd member!). Those are gt rotors. As soon as everything got bolted up, the dimensions worked out . The gt calipers are a no go on superstrut suspension knuckle! Impossible without mods. They'll bolt to the bracket, yes, but how far off the bracket they go is the problem. The gt bracket won't bolt to superstrut but has the right "offset". I'm pretty we can use 1st gen (94-97) Avalon Twin pot calipers. ![]() These do in fact work, work well I might add. And the clear the stock GT alloys. Would these work only in the front or would both front and rear 94-97 Avalon calipers fit on the GT? -------------------- st205 powered ss3 coupe

U need more braking piwer up front cause the cars front is much heavier than rear i didnt know if the avalons had front and rear twin piston or if the rear avalon caliper would fit the GTs rear, makes sense thats its not rear twin piston tho. i know that the above picture is the front caliper, didnt know if it would be worth upgrading the rear. so basically you would have the avalons front calper or mr2 and keep the stock GT rear caliper? im just clarifying. brake lines can be extended, and ig you do this make sure you do it with a gt celica. the st bracket is differetn

Just look for yourself...here are the Avalon/Camry/ES300 rotor: ![]() Vs the Celica GT rotor: ![]() So if the rotors have the same diameter and thickness then the Avalon brake pad will work with the GT rotor (assuming the caliper bolts up). The GT pad wouldn't fit in the Avalon caliper anyway as its much longer then the Avalon's pad. anyone think otherwise? its confirmed 94-99 Celica GT brake pad is compatible with the avalon calipers, es300, and camry

I can confirm that the Avalon Twin Pot Caliper fits onto the Celica GT Bracket and GT Pads. I've spend numerous hours researching, test fitting and so on.

oh so then you yourself haven't actually fit the avalon caliper and bracket onto the 94-99 celica gt knuckle?

There's nothing to be jelly about, I don't care if I was the 1st, 3rd or last person to figure this out...I shared it. Fact is, if njcmd2002 didn't start this post I would have been less likely to continue my search and experimenting. There are many "lurkers" on forums who have a lot of information but never share it. |

lol, jelly im not, im glad my topic has inspired, truth is most toyota calipers are same distance withing bolts, the problem is the offset, the avalon bracket may not fit the celica, but the avalon caliper with gt bracket would.
the problem is that it gets expensive to buy brakes until you find one. Only reason i gave up the mr2 calipers is because i will or maybe to a 4 pot caliper very soon for some idiotic reason, lol.
