Im installing my 3SGTE and will be updating her plugs, wires, hoses, belts and fluids. Im curious on if I should go ahead and install a clutch and flywheel setup now or just let the stock one do its thing.
the engine has 51,xxx km on it and shouldnt give me problems but I was looking for advice on reliable setups for clutches and flywheels.

I was thinking :

with

Thoughts?

I will be looking to put 300hp on all fours so that is the cause for this clutch and flywheel.

For half the price of the fidanza you can get a really nice flywheel from F1 racing on ebay. I think it might be a little heavier than the fidanza, so it's probably more streetable too.

F1 Racing? Is the quality there? I dont really like ebaying things from brands I dont recognize

Drivability is not an issue.

a Southbend and F1 setup will cost roughly ~630$ give or take.. my Southbend clutch ran ~450 or so and the F1 flywheel cost around ~170$ or so IIRC.. the F1 is a great flywheel suprisingly enough for an "ebay" item, many members are using them. I really like my setup alot, holds power with great driveability..

Call John over at Southbend, he is in the Imports department. He was very helpful in getting my setup together and is very knowledgeable of his product and is familiar with the 3sgte s54 combo if thats what your doing. I recieved great customer service from those guys, I definitely recommend them.

I think this goes without saying, but I am glad you didn't even put Clutchmasters on the list. I like their products but their customer service is thumbsdown.gif

If I ever have to do it again, I'll be going Southbend purely based on their reviews here.

the 7A uses the same clutch as the 1ZZ and 2ZZ. just go to the southbend website and get the OEM replacement. you dont need a high performance clutch

I have the exedy 3 puck. It's a race car, but I have to say I dont think it would be terrible for daily driving. Grabs pretty good though. I think its the 'stage 2'.
