I love the lines of the FRS,the only reason ill never own one is its lack of power. Maybe in a few years when the price comes down ill get one. then ill just build the engine to take BOOST!!!

I don't think they are. They (FHI) are getting major kickbacks from the Japanese government for making more eco friendly cars, I've been told by numerous credible sources that there will never be a factory turbo BRZ/FRS/86.

There are turbo kits out there for the BRZ/FRS that make decent amount of power. But that defeats the sole purpose of this car. I really like the way it drives already so Im probably going to buy coilovers and a set of wheels and it should be good to go (DD).

I heard that they were for the Subaru model, but not the Toyota/Scion model. Then again that was a few months ago, so who knows. Screw the environment, need more power. tongue.gif

Not much for updates. I had the overpipe and front pipe (the sections from the turbo to the catback... essentially the downpipe) replaced so it is now fully catless. Stinky, but awesome.

As of late it seems like the ECU is dying though. Sometimes when I turn the key over it doesn't start immediately, like the ECU is not ready. It starts throwing a Uxxxx CEL for Network error. And it has been throwing a P000B CEL for months (even pre-turbo) that I have just started clearing every time it comes up.

It is actually going to the dealer today to have that looked at.

Who wants to bet they're going to say you broke something by installing a turbo?

They won't. There is a full blown recall campaign for the ECU. They're replacing it now.

Not sure which ones are being recalled. You can call your dealer and ask if you're included.

Got the car back, reflashed my tune onto it, and back to driving it.

I did change my oil on Saturday with 0W-40, rather than the 0W-20 it calls for. Seems a bit smoother. IDK.

Tomorrow is 86 day!

Well wheels and tires were on the list, but I had to fork over $1900 today due to my dog eating a shoe and some of it was stuck in his small intestine. Vet had to open him up and remove it.

Priorities. Dog comes first.
