Awhile ago Jeff told me to consolidate my crap so here goes

Spec:
1996 USDM ST

Stage 1:
-invader body kit, custom bumper scoop, Velox VX-6 18" wheels, Arospeed Coilovers, GT4 rear strut bar, several different exhausts, JDM tails, 5th gen power folding mirrors

Stage 2:
- supra front end conversion (only 75% completed at any given point)

all in all, it got the whole deal of under glow, interior neon, subs, amps, dual/single exhausts, CAI, SRI, TWM SSK, and most things under the sun you can do as a ricer.

now......that stuff comes to an end and the story starts over

Step 1: remove horrible front end

Step 2: remove motor (note you can see missing "sub" frame here

Step 3: power wash clean the empty bay

Step 4: Jack stands on 4 corners and remove suspension

Step 5: pointlessly tape up and start stripping

Step 6: black primer

Step 7: ditch the interior internals

Step 8: drive to jersey in overheating truck to get a bare clip (don't forget to remove excess)

Step 9: remove donor firewall

9b: remove my firewall

Step 10: replace with donor wall

Step 11: find Ultra super dooper mad JDM elephant tite Curren parts, drive Ghetto nascar van to get it

Step 12: install Ultra super dooper mad JDM elephant tite Curren parts

Step 14: ditch the sunroof its way too heavy

Step 15: ditch spare tire well, make more room under car smooth out floor board

Step 16: remove glass from doors (heavy, and you can't have windows up while racing)

Step 17: paint engine subframe hot pink because you can

Step 18:
Realize your garage sucks so put up ceiling: only partially finished, gotta get more and clean out the crap a lot more
(its a temp garage so we make do) car modification pictures will come soon smile.gif

Step: 19 Carbon fiber license plate trim

more to come soon as I get more done smile.gif

Well we're officially selling the house where I keep this car at, so i'm losing my garage frown.gif
Luckily I have a friend who I'm pretty sure will let me keep it at her house in her garage until my fiancee and I get married and get a place with a garage.

WOOT I'm getting married this August BTW which is also causing coilover funds to be lacking.
However I'm saving like 5k on this ring potentially so coilovers might be here sooner than planned biggrin.gif

Hopefully it will be. Once I get the rear bolted up I'm going to look for sway bars and brakes.
I'm thinking LS400 4 piston calipers and rotors (either LS or supra NA and hopefully in 2-piece)

what are those inverted coilovers you speak of. I know the Integra Type R DC5 came with inverted springs on the front. I guess they must be an improvement over stock springs.I heard that they use inverted springs on dc5 from best motoring international video... plz explain.

I did get them from Purplegt4...we live fairly close to eachother so that made that easy.

So I have Gt4 calipers + GT4 rotors.
I'm thinking about talking to Adams Rotors to see if they can do a two-piece rotor for the car or repeating what you did and looking for NA supra rotors.
Any other suggesstions on locating new 2-piece rotors? I've been searching around and the rotor options for the MKIV NA Supra are pretty crappy.

They are all just sitting in a corner in my garage right now. I'll take a caliper over to where i'm keeping the car this weekend and work on how i'm going to mount the calipers and then. Thanks for the rebuild info, i'll hopefully be ordering that stuff some time soon and taking them apart.
I would like to have the calipers powdercoated as well, since I've already powder coated the knuckles, and guess i'm going to just coat them in Black with the "CELICA" in the natural machined finish.

I'd just go with Adams rotors. They have good products and will probably be willing to make a custom setup. I was thinking of using them next time around. I think it may be a bit more difficult to get something custom from Brembo , DBA, Willwood. I have been searching around for NA 2 piece rotors but no luck. Only for the turbo.. It would be nice to have hats that were already drilled to 5x100 anyways.

I also have the drill and tap I used for the front hubs, as well as the info for the bolts I used, which I got from Mcmastercarr. There are a whole bunch of small details that weren't covered in the last threads that I'd like to fill in.
Hopefully it'll be a smooth install for you

where did u get the curren clip from?

in the pic the lower white section, was that bolt on or cutting and welding involved? not the upper (or radiator bar)

The clip was purchased privately about 5 years ago.

there is spot weld drilling and welding involved.
