Your best bet if your a noob rider or if you want to stay somewhat safe is to get one with the built in armour for the shoulder, elbows and back. That jacket is great for summer riding and will keep you cool but if you fall or slide it won't protect your elbows and shoulders.......Especially if your rolling.
