Yeah... but stiffening up the front means more understeer doesn't it?

The handling improvement negates the extra tendency for understeer. I can feel the improved solidity in the way the steering wheel behaves over bumps and responds to quick input; in a car with this much weight over the front wheels, it helps massively. Combined with the rear strut bar, the car lends itself slightly more to understeer at first, but now also oversteers when approaching 10/10, which mine never did from factory.

Don't listen to your friends.

This is true. With the D2 RS's, the ST205 rear strut bar and Energy Suspension rear urethane bushings, the car handles like it's on rails... especially with the 0 offset I'm running now. Pushing the wheels out made the car grip like a monster. I actually made the tail slide in the rain two nights ago too, without the assistance of my handbrake (which doesn't work... working on sourcing replacement parking brake hardware and pads.... again... and a driver side cable). Weight transfer ftw.

Today I finally installed my Cigarette Lighter Hub.

Put it behind the dash, under the CC unit.
Started at 11:30am with perfect weather, and by 12pm the wind was so strong that it actually picked up the soldering iron, and flung it at me... All I saw was an object flying from the corner of my eye at my face, and I blocked it with my hand... Wind 1, Ryan 0...

The damage:

It is now 5:30pm and my it has gone red... lol...

I finished the job 1pm (took way longer than it should thanks to the hand) but it is now working fine and I have my DashCam and GPS both plugged in at once, + I will soon have a USB charge port in the car smile.gif

I also have sent my stock spare switch locations (Above the gear shift, next to the cigarette lighter, below HVAC) to Timmyface, and he in turn is sending me a pocket similar to the one under the headunit smile.gif
I should receive that either tomorrow or Wednesday and it will be installed promptly after smile.gif

Bought the following items:

- Zep commercial grade citrus degreaser
- 2 x spray bottles
- razor blade scraper
- spare razor blades
- a squeegee
- 00 grade steel wool
- box o gloves for the garage.

This was in prep for:
1. Removing the 50% tint from my driver and passenger windows, possibly for all 5 windows if I decide t get my tint redone at a shop
2. Transplanting the DOT lens from my USDM low-beam housing onto my JDM housing so that I can continue to use the accent lights.

I just have to wait to borrow a friends jack to lower my car so o can sit in it to remove the tint.

Next up:
- buy a low profile car jack. Anyone have feedback on Pittsburgh brand jacks? They don't sell them in Canada from what I know, and someone local is selling a BNIB unit for $160, which is quite a good price range for me.

Not for our cars; for the ZZT231 CElicas I believe.

As far as I know C-One only made one type of spoiler for our generation.

No -.-

I get free board whilst I am living at home doing uni, but that is all I get from them. They certainly don't approve of spending money on my car! (They like the car, they just say don't change it tongue.gif)

I have 2 part time jobs and run my own small business online. I am also a dedicated saver and can put away 80% of what I earn quite easily.

That, and the fact that I need over $10k (which i have just finished saving - started september last year and worked full time over our summer (christmas) break) for my university exchange to Cali (San Jose) next year, so I have been stockpiling cash tongue.gif and a lot of that $1400 isn't making it to my car - I am giving a go at making a business out of selling JDM st202 and st205 parts that I import direct from Japan myself smile.gif

Yeah okay - that is what I had thought, but the seller was so insistent that it was st202 that I was doubting myself tongue.gif

In any case, it isn't cheap and I hate the design tongue.gif

I like the sound of that entrepreneurial spirit, Josh. Sounds like you have your priorities in order when most guys/gals in your age group (at least in the US) are more concerned with which parties to attend and what clothes to buy.

Today, I finished my big project: installing projectors and HIDs. It was a fun little project; waiting until it's dark to take some pictures for comparison.

Yeah, I'm hoping it will take me pretty far tongue.gif My eBay business is what bought me my 6GC (otherwise I would have a lowly run down st184 tongue.gif)

18 is also the legal drinking age here.... So there are a few of them tongue.gif

And we need pics!!!! I am very jelly now, I'm a sucker for a nice red 6GC and projectors just set it off! smile.gif
