Consider yourself lucky if you get your parts. This guy took my money and disappeared. Never responded back and no refund

Here is my 2 cents.

I've done transactions with Pittfirefighter in the past, have met him in person at Celica meets, and can tell you with a fair amount of confidence that he isn't out to screw anyone over. He, like me and most other people out there, have lives, families, and jobs - selling car parts isn't exactly priority #1. Maybe I read this wrong, since I haven't been following this thread and just skimmed over it, but threatening to open a dispute with Paypal for a refund after 2 1/2 weeks is almost comical. You paid with Paypal - you can file a dispute within 45 days of payment if you don't receive your item. That's 6 1/2 weeks. He said weeks ago he has two businesses, is out of town and hopes everyone has patience as he gets things shipped out. Quickly threatening for refunds with harassing PMs, texts, emails, etc is a good way to get a refund and no parts - because as a seller, dealing with people like that is simply annoying. Parting out a car takes time - and when you have limited time, it takes a while to get things shipped out, especially when you have 50 people wanting parts all at once, then lowballing you once you get the part off the car or asking if you can hold an item until a later date when they get paid, and then 40 of them asking when the part will ship, questions about other items, tracking number updates, etc. Have some patience.

I'm gonna jump into the conversation aswell, since my name was thrown into the mix.

I'm getting my refund. I never had any bad or angry PM's with Keaton. The personal messages I sent to mkern we're more or less venting over the situation.

I understand people are busy. I gave him plenty of time from my view. I started my PayPal case after Keaton and I settled on a refund to protect myself.

I've never dropped that much money at one time.

The way i see it.. mine and keatons business was handled and resolved. I chose not to post in this thread for that reason.

So for the record, his communication is a bit shotty but Keaton is alright by me.

I do agree it can be a pain and is definitely frustrating waiting for something to arrive. eBay used to be that way 15+ years ago, that's one reason they added so many restrictions and requirements now to eliminate that problem (even though it's a pain, as a seller).

The majority of the other sites I visit have a rule for their buy/sell forum that you need to post your actual name, another way to contact you, and I think the most important: a picture of your username on a piece of paper with the part for sale. The reason being so that the part is obviously off the car and can be quickly shipped out. I do think it would be nice to see the 6gc buy/sell forum adopt the same policy.

Everything has been resolved and I just received my parts 20 minutes ago.

Though I did say some negative things about him, he is a good guy and keeps his word. I understood he was busy, but I didn't realized how busy, busy really meant. So I'm happy I got my parts.

That is correct. He's a good guy, keeps his word, but since he's very busy it might take him a while to ship certain things out.
