One of my spark plug boots keeps popping off as soon as you crank the car. Yay for the first time of having to fix something on my 5GC.

Yea I actually did that this morning but there was a good bit of oil at the bottom of the tube. I was already gonna replace my valve cover gasket and spark tube gaskets next week so I might as well check the threads and reseal the sparkplug tubes while I'm at it.

Seems like this is getting more common lately, eBay sellers grabbing pictures from the internet and using them as their own. It's up to you how you want to proceed with it, whether you want him to take the picture down or keep using it. You could technically even demand a percentage of the profit if you wanted, although it's very unlikely that he'd share anything. You'd think if he's selling SS-III splitters, he'd have at least found a picture of an SS-III. laugh.gif

I don't want to make a thread for this but does anyone know of a good brand for an after market flywheel? I'm looking at one and the oem one looks expensive.

I've looked for one on their website but all I could find was the clutch kit.

After seeing what's readily available I'd say go with AC Delco if you want OEM spec. Could see if someone like Fidanza makes a lightweight alternative.

Thinking I have fixed my swimming pool in passenger side with a new plug at the bottom,

today i got the surprise of more water, -- rip up the carpet more and track where is the water coming from, behind the heater assembly, still unsure if its an actual leak (because its raining) or its when I use the heater,

It seems like previous owner knew all about it as i found a kitchen sponge shoved inbetween the firewall and the electrics

Well, looks like I won't be selling the car after going through a tumultuous inner fight of rather or not to sell it. All for nothing too. Turns out he's been trying to get a loan to no avail to get the rest of the money for it... I was under the impression he had $2,800 in cash the day he asked if it was still for sale... I've had a few people stop and ask about it since then, but turned them away thinking he was just waiting for one last week's pay to have the money to buy it. It's what I get for being nice.

Yup... know the feeling... I've been holding the Mustang for over two weeks now (have a $1k deposit), but now he has just said they can't find the rest of the money and he wants his deposit back. I had signed a contract with him that in my eyes says no refunds, but internet lawyers say that I need to give it back since I didn't have a clear and reasonable clause of damages and liabilities in there for each possible scenario, and I will still get sued.... I hate your f*cking legal system.... since when do buyers get to just sue for their deposit back when they pull out of a sale with a contract for personal reasons.

In other news, I have another set of white SSIII front splitters available, as well as some ridiculously cheap projectors ready for modding (Great condition outside, but chrome paint on the inside of one housing is shot... so would be perfect for blacking out, or doing bi-xenon swaps or whatever), and a set of aluminium 'CELICA' st202 door sills as well. I'll put up ads when i can be bothered tongue.gif

You should've had it in the contract explicitly that the deposit would be non-refundable and to cover lost potential earnings.

Anyhow, he said today he was still trying. Something about that he has $1,800 in cash and is getting his aunt to cosign for the loan on the rest of it. I'm not holding my breath at this point. He asked if I'd take $2,800 cash on that day, does that not imply that he has $2,800 already? If anyone else stops and asks it's free game now. I've already found a Supra and now I want one again, so much for being content.
