after a long (in my eyes) hiatus from June 2012, finally back on the road





So here is the story of my celica.




so i dont get to ramble on too much, lets start out with the first picture i took of my car back in 2006 when I got her.


the first mod that i did was my JL speakers all around. nothing special. i wasnt too much into the whole 6gc scene until a little bit after.

i then stripped the hub caps and started putting every sticker i found on that car!







then i had finally gotten into the 6gc scene and started to mod her. first things first, a $70 weapon r intake from a fellow member. needless to say i felt badass installing it seeing as how it was my first mod.

after that came exhaust, a nice n\' rare SP1




THEN TRAGEDY STRUCK!
i had thrown a rod and my car was up for about 3months, saddest moment ever!


after all was said and done, i got a new rebuilt block.

Then after not having it for a while i wanted to get her gifts, thus leading us into the...

then i put on my XS auto headers the NIGHT before i was leaving for my freshman year of college. ended up rushing and cutting to hastily and had a bad exhaust leak. and a lil bit after put heat wrap on the rad tubes
also i got one of the limited DCR 3points




then after a month or so, my engine quit on me while cruising around pittsburgh. had to tow it back home to the shop the block was built at in philly. ended up being a bad head gasket.



then i just started buying stuff while at school and putting it in

Fate and I were just talking about a mini meet that we could plan for late October early November. Just need to pick a place.

finally got the last piece of the puzzle for the TEINS

it also came with a HEFTY manual. People were right when they said it wont be easy to configure


it has a place in the DIN switch panel (switches are for fans, fogs and tbd)
shadows make it looks crooked...its straight...i think



also got a coolant breather tank from Powered by Max.
I have a Mishimoto Coolant resivoir tank that it coming in tomorrow to accompany it.

I am re-wiring the birds nest I found behind the dash and minimizing the clutter

It looks like it's time for a new shift boot.

Mike, is that a 510UB headunit?!

PS: EDFC controller looks mint in that lower DIN slot.

What sort of steps do you need to take to configure the EDFC?

fo sho.
Ive been meaning to make something up that is just a little fabric that sits level with the base of the boot.

Maybe? I am not up to snuff on the headunit game. I just grabbed it from the audio store a few years back.


I will be able to give you a better idea of that once I get it all wired up and working. I took a break from looking over the manual to go to on a little trip this weekend.

Went to Chicago to attend #gridlife and watch my friends 5 year long project car built by Touge Factory compete in time attack.

Less than a month until Tuner Evolution!

This will be the first big car show I will be participating in and I am very excited for the opportunity and will hopefully come out with an award.

I have also been accepted into PASMAG's Tuner Battleground competition for Tuner Evolution...which unfortunately will require me to shamelessly hunt for votes from everybody to advance, so be prepared for that. I think the overall winner will be featured at SEMA but I doubt I will get that far. I have SOME embarrassment and can only bug people for votes so much

I'll throw a vote your way, but I know what you mean though. I'm too shy to shamelessly whore myself out for votes so I never win anything like that.

The white supra that won last year was from my home city, and after Winnipeg, his car had a load of money dumped into it, I believe from his sponsors.
This could greatly benefit your build! You'll have my vote.

I bet alot of the people participating will probably go far beyond what I am willing to do to get votes. That may be my downfall, we will see!

All I can say is that I apologize in advance for how much I will be plugging my car haha



Ive thought about that, seeing as how my friend and his 350z picutured above got sponsorships from Rays Wheels Toyo tires and a couple other big names after showing his car up at Tuner Galleria in Chicago.

The one thing I dont really LOVE about sponsorships are the obligations i.e. attend 5 big shows and display sponsor decals.
I kind of like the whole no-strings attached deal I have going on.

But other than wheels and tires, there isnt much for the celica that a sponsor will be able to help me out with.
...I wouldnt mind a second set of wheel though

Unless you're getting a load of freebies the cost and expense of attending so many shows/events to satisfy the agreement can offset anything you get out of a sponsorship, that and you get into the politics of not being able to use a competing companies products. At least with musical equipment companies they just want you to make sure their gear is being seen and used and to throw on some decals on your flight cases and crap. Unless you're predominantly sponsored and are an endorser they generally don't care about using competitor's gear either so long as you do use theirs.
