Isn't that lip for the post-face only? Actually looks like it fits pretty well. I've been looking into lips so I was just wondering. Might retrofit a sc300/supra lip but I would for sure like the Postert Lip.

The PS pump for whatever reason finally started idling down. It gets pretty quiet when its at low idle. It seems to have a High, Med, Low speed. It hit low around 12 or so seconds after not input is detected.
Changed out the ground AN fitting in the sensor block for the PS temp sensor and now its reading again, I drove the car fairly hard throughout the weekend and I didnt see temps more than 110 degrees. Not too bad but I will have to see if it gets any hotter during a race

Got a sponsorship deal with Wedsport and I am looking into grabbing their TC105N's, as far as I can tell they are the lightest wheels I can find that will fit over the ST205 calipers (I couldn't find a good way to get the RPF1's to fit), unfortunately they wont get in until Late August. Which means no racing for me until then frown.gif

pic from a meet this past weekend. The front lip fits pretty good. It still needs some tweaking.
Also still looking for some clips I can use to mount the skirts

started the little mirror project.

Messed with some body filler for the first time. Other than the short useable time before it begins to harden, it is pretty fun to work with.
The mirrors had a few gaps that I wanted to fill up so that water wouldnt get in and sit.

Put down some primer and primer sealant before going to basecoat (using an aresol can of really well matching basecoat from Automotive Touchup) it was getting fairly hot and humid out as I began to lay down the basecoat. One of the mirrors ended up getting a couple dog hairs in it and I had to let the base dry and wet sand them out. The clear coat went on well as well despite the high temps and humidity. Despite that setbacks that one mirror came out flawless.

the other mirror, was about 30 minutes behind in steps than the first mirror. That unfortunately made a difference. There might have been a bump in humidity, and I may not have waited long enough after spraying the base but as I sprayed, it developed a bunch of craters in the clear. SO I gave up, let it dry then later that evening wetsanded the clear down to the base and, resprayed the base and then re-cleared. The room I was doing it in was a bit less humid but as I was going through the basecoat spraying I think all the aresol on the air bumped the humidity up. I said screw it and did the clear anyway. It came out nice and even but was heavy on the orange peel so I just added a layer or two more so that I would be able to wet sand it down.

top is the good one bottom is the bad one

left bad right good

cant let Photobucket get me down I suppose

Got my custom Beatrush panel in

much better than having an empty hole

the mirrors are about 99.9% done. I wetsanded both to get the imperfections and orange peel out. It worked pretty well. After compounding and correcting them I found light sanding marks still in the clear so I will have to make another pass with a more aggressive polishing pad.

the glass that came with the mirrors was blindspot central. Attempted to cut some convex glass. That failed (twice), so I got another pair and took them to a glass shop and had them cut and sand it down in a jiffy. We copied the shape of the glass that came with the mirrors but it could be shaped better so at some point I will make another pair

some defects popped up on one of the skirts so I took it back to get repainted. These skirts have been a pain.

Winding down a bit on everything and recouping some $ for some projects later.
This winter will be just tidying up things and messing around with my diffuser a bit.
Still waiting on the TC105Ns to get in, I had hoped to get a couple track days in this fall but if that doesnt happen, not a big deal. I just want to live life sans car nonsense for a bit. This will probably be the last update for a little while.

And if it was left as-is, it's still a great piece. As much as I like stock cars, the way you modified yours is very desirable.

^Indeed. As much as I also like stock cars I think ones tastefully modified are just as nice, or can even be better.

Im trying to stay within the boundaries of retaining a clean looking car and not get TOO race car. I think a cage, front splitter and a wing would still keep me within those boundaries. Maybe someday I will be able to afford a respray and a re-do of the hood
