Hello celica bros! Two weeks ago, i bought my first car. I looked for a nice celica for months and finally a beauty of a st202 popped up. My stephdad helped me buy it and it was in a really good condition. I got it cheap, its a 94 coupe and its hands down the most beautiful thing i have ever owned. Im 28, live in Norway and im still a learner, im getting my license soon and a celica gt was my absolute dream car. Well dreams apperently come true! Im happy i found this forum and hope i can ask you guys for some advice if something comes up! smile.gif wink.gif

There are already a few hopefully trivial problems, please share some insight if you've had similiar problems. Im hoping to fix all of them as soon as i can
1. The heat on the ac does not work, but i think its the thermostat cuz the engine runs pretty cold.
2. The oil level lamp (Yellow with the squiggly line underneath) switches on and of while i drive. Im doing an oil change anyway, but the oil level is up to max on the dipstick.
3. There is a bumping noise from the rear wheel passenger side during right turns.
4. It also has a killer aftermarket stereo, but i need a good amp to power it since the previous owner needed it for her new car. Maybe you guys could help me pick one out? biggrin.gif

Yep. Super clean car.

I think the previous owner took real good care of it. She had it rust treated so im hoping it'll stay nice, sadly they salt the roads in Norway like it was the dead sea frown.gif

Haha cool, i think it looks rad! It sounds awesome! and it also had a really nice aftermarket stereo, but i need a good amp to power it since she took that for her new car.

Congratulations! Great looking Celica. Looks like you may have some twisty roads around there to really enjoy driving.

Yeah, Norway is perfect for that. Our roads are actually pretty bad and the speed limit is pretty limited everywhere. Thats part of why i wanted a celica (even though mine is pretty fast biggrin.gif)

1. Probably thermostat then, or if you can't hear the heat door open when you select heat on the control panel it could be that.
2. Hopefully it's just the sensor, but it could be low oil pressure. On old cars, unless they're German maybe, there is no oil level light just one for oil pressure.
3. Could be a multitude of things, would look at wheel bearing and give the rear suspension a look over.
4. Would depend on what speakers are in it and how much you want to spend. If they're not really high wattage speakers you'd be fine running them off most any aftermarket stereo.
