Amen brother. I for one would appreciate seeing your design(s). Most of us want something that simply supplements and slightly enhances our beautiful, sleek looking car - not something out of a bad science fiction movie. To each his own I guess.

I'd like to see what Doggy made. I for one im a great fan of his work.

why not but a combat front bumper and mold a gt4 grill on it.
Looks just like it, this one is just a little thicker on the bottom lip.

I would like to see Doggy's Idea as well. Maybe some more photoshopped kits

IMHO this Idea above is very lame(this silver car). maybe someone can try to touch it up a little, from what I see its not creative at all. We should be looking for some type of updated styling. or we can continue to buy veilside knockoffs and for get the whole Idea of an updated kit.

I'm all for the red kit, if it doesnt go through... I'll try to make it myself.

i just read throught this topic and thought i would share my opinion so here it is. You all are too quick to flame on some one and call something rice. Personally i like the look of the one madmods posted but it is not the style that i am going for. the silver pic really lacks creativity, also it just looks like the top part of an invader with just a simple lip. it looks clean but way too stock.
Doggy i am very interested in seeing any ideas you have. everything that i have seen that you have done looks very clean but doesnt look too much like stock.

Again i am just sharing and honest opinion, and please think before you flame something or call it rice because im sure i could flip throught most peoples profiles on here and find things you would all consider rice. Atleast madmods is taking initiative and doing something to get something made and if he likes that kit and has the only one more props to him for that.

nick, I think the reason a lot of them "flammed' so quickly is because we were all under the impression that the OTHER one was to made, not the one madmods showed us. so it was like: wtf? who what where when!/

Doggy is right te celi should have a kit that compliments the CURVES of the body. I definatly want to see his design(s). I am one of his biggest fans and have bought his "products" and i ma very happy with them.

As for a car being taken in for USAfiberglass to work on Ill do it if you guys want. Its not a problem for me. I just need to make sure that it is here in Riverside,Ca, not some other state. Maybe i can take a trip over there to take a look at the place for you guys too.

Anyway i hope this turns out to be a good kit.

Uh... madmods likes it and he personaly is getting this done for himself and putting up all the cash for it so I don't even think this is going to effect that other design you all like so much. maybe I'm wrong but with phrases like "one-off" it sounded like something he was having done once so they weren't even going to make a mold for it unless other people want one.

EDIT: Oh yeah madmods I tried to photoshop that other kit and it didn't look good at all, and all these people flaming this other kit kinda has me down, makes me feel unapriciated (kinda like doggy feels I'm sure). Which reminds me, Doggy where are those drawings at. We would love to see them. Everyone else through out a couple ideas and I'll do my best to photochop them onto a celi.

Guys I agree with the motion that the celica has curves. I think its got the sexiest sides any car you can ask for. Thats why i still have not bought any sideskirts yet. The pakfeifer sides are just wrong, and I have yet to find any side skirts I like for this car. I like both the porsche and noble m14, but Im also looking at the edonis front end. I also like the front end of the 2000 acura usafiberglass made a kit for. I like the M14, but its a square kit. Not a problem Lets round the sides to make it follow the celica curves. Im also looking at the edonis front end. Im on rapidcars.com looking at interiors and body styles for different ideals.
Now you guys are taking the drawings as bible. They are not. They are basically starting ideals Im going to show the fabricator to see what he can do with them. Square bodies can easily get a rounded shape to them. So lets not get all hyped up about these photos.

I figured we were not all going to agree, so this is a one-off project for me.
I believe the celica has potential to look like a wide-bodied supercar. Im personally not into the gt-4 look. Sorry but thats my opinion. Its like I have the finnished picture in my head of the car I want to build.

The problem with the group buy I had at the beginning was that I wanted a wide body rear end. Theres 95% hatchbacks hereon this site, so with me being a coup, Im out of luck. The bodys are 2 different. I knew this was going to happen, so thats why lets just make this a custom project for me. You guys can get the group buy going, Ill help anyway i can, would love to see all the ideals and doggys sketches. Also has anybody noticed that the mercedes Cl500(ithink thats the model) has the exact same sides as the celica? hmmmm aftermarket sideskirts????

Im sending in money to buy a new vader front end, so the can use the headlight part and sides as a starting point. This is for my project. Im kind of leaning towards the custom acura front end they made, but Im still looking at ideals. This is for the front clip only. I bought the pakfiefer rear end yesterday of their website, and found the tailights rom a kitcar car company that are going to be molded.

So to recap here guys, no hate, but Im going after a new look, I know its possible. I can see the finished result in my head.

I might be in for a front bumper, depending on what doggy comes up with, but only if its in poly too.

doggy if you don't post up your draft of a new kit i'll fly out there and woop on you. cause your kit is killer, if you don't so help me i wanna see your idea

Man I got to agree. This looks so close to the combat. Why go throught the trouble of making a mold for something that look so close to stock? As far as the gt vent goes in between the lights, theres a company that sells them.
