How hard os it to paint a carbon fiber hood? nobody I know has any experiance with this. I want to paint my CF hood cuz it just looks sooo ugly on my red celi. I'm thinking I could just sand the hood and hope for the best.

I've never seen anyone paint the cf hood, don't know that you can! I thought the whole idea was to have it be lighter and look cool, lol.

P.S. - That signature of yours big enough ? holy takes up the whole screen batman, lol

Looks good though!

ive heard of people putting a light clear coat of ur stock color onto the hood to add 10 points to the "wow" factor. from far away it looks like a stock hood, but up close you can make out what seems to be carbon fiber underneath. ask a local paint shop if this option is available to you.

I wonder how that would look? like a layer of red candy paint over the fiber, I just wonder if it might start to look like that fake CF though.

you can paint a cf hood, i dont know if you can paint it light enough to let you see the fibers under the paint, but you could try, and yea Arizona Red, make that picture smaller, like half that size, you car looks good, but its a pain for everyone to scroll over to see what each other wrote.

yeah you can, ive seen it on alot of show cars. just pick up any car mag and you will see a car with carbon hood and its partialy painted like down the sides or in the middle so it follows the headlights back. its not hard just they will prep it the same and then paint it.

but why buy a $400 CF hood if you dont like it??
